  1. Not on the inside.
  2. It would actually take a lot of concerted effort and concentration to pull the trigger without depressing the grip safety.
  3. Same people.   I'm sure they are fine folks, but one can't walk into a Cracker Barrel, WalMart, truckstop, etc. without seeing their mangy pictures on all kinds of merchandise, not to mention the never ending debate ongoing on the news, radio, internet, etc. about their feelings about homosexuality.   I'd get tired of my wife if I saw that much of her.   A Mossberg is a Mossberg, with or without a beard.
  4. I own and fire several guns regularly with a grip safety. Never once do I remember having to consciously activate it. You grab the gun and pull the trigger. A perfect grip one does not need to have.   To each his own, but I'll take a grip safety and a good single action trigger over a long, heavy double action pull any day.   I'm not firmly opposed to either, and own and carry both.   Variety is the spice of life I suppose.
  5. No. As much as I like my Rock Island, it isn't  equivalent to a Colt, Ed Brown, Wilson Combat, etc. Could you produce a top shelf 1911 for $400? I didn't think so.
  6. Now you need one chambered in 250-3000. You know you can't have just one, right?
  7. You can have mine too if you wish. :shake:   I'm about sick of hearing about Duck Dynasty.
  8. You're right. It doesn't compare aesthetically with the original, but it'll do. I still want one. Two when the 40 becomes available.   This is the first new product from Remington I've been interested in since I can remember. I hope this is a good sign of things to come. I'd like to see a reintroduction to their line of centerfire pump rifles. Not the 760, but the 14 and the like.

    Good Ak 47's

My WASR is the cat's @$$. Your mileage may vary.
  10. Weaver 2 piece mounts and low rings should be just the ticket. I would keep the scope were I you.   What kind of mount is that? Is it a tip over? If so, I might be interested in it.                                    http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/8410290/Savage_1899_32_40#Post8410290 You probably don't want to open this link unless you have a strong heart.
  11. My 39-2 Smith and Wesson has an aluminum frame, and all is well with it.
  12. It almost feels like it wants to work itself.
  13. Have you shot it yet? My EGs will print 1" 100 yard groups with factory Remington or Winchester ammo. Someone took good care of that one.     You and my wife have something in common....she says everything is "Greg's fault!"
  14. I may have missed it somewhere, but what is the frame made out of?
  15. I'm in for one. I have two of the originals, and they are awesome. I sure hope this one is easier to fieldstrip.
  16. 2 quick questions:   1)Do you reckon they have 22 ammunition in stock at a Chinese Wal Mart?   2)Why doesn't my local Wal Mart carry five spice donkey meat?
  17. Does Buster like beer too?
  18. Great discussion guys! Thanks for participating. I love to hear other peoples' opinions. Keep em coming.
  19. ...and that'll be roughly when?
  20. I have a brother in law who thinks 3 bedroom houses are the way to go.   I'd like a farm, even thought I'm not a farmer.
  21. What would cause the dollar to strengthen?
  22. So what was the big winner for investors? Certainly not CD's. Not real estate; at least not in Tennessee. Precious metals haven't exactly wowed lately. Where is the right place to invest?
  23. If I want to shoot tiny groups with a semi auto, I'll go with an AR. If it simply must fire when I pull the trigger, an AK gets the nod, and a mini 14 gets honorable mention.
  24. Bullseye or Unique for non magnum, and 2400 or H-110/WW296 for magnum. Primer are primers. Magnum for ball powders, regular for flake powders.   Handguns are easy. Rifle cartridges, however, are a whole 'nuther can of worms.
  25.               http://www.goldseek.com/quotes/charts/yearlygoldchart.php Gold has dropped from roughly $1700 per oz to $1200 per oz in 2013. If it goes back to around $800, I may buy some just for speculation.   I was happy with my investment decisions in the late 90's and early 2000's. Lately, as I get older, I'm beginning to second guess myself. Also, the numbers are getting larger, so a mistake will be greatly amplified over what it would have been 15-20 years ago.
