Question pertaining to police assistance at night??
gregintenn replied to bersaguy's topic in General Chat
Circa 1990. We were about to close the grocery store for the night where I worked when we saw a vehicle hit my co worker's truck in the parking lot and speed off. We called twice with a description of the vehicle. It is now 24 years later, and we are still waiting for an officer to respond. I 'm sure I'll be labeled a "cop basher" again, but if stating fact is "cop bashing", then so be it. -
My aunt and uncle used to live in Antioch. It was o.k. until a Laotian gang moved in next door. They ate my aunt's Cocker Spaniel, and there were regular drive by shootings. They got the h311 out! Last time we were at the zoo, we stopped by McDonalds. The black girl at the counter had to go into the back and get a Mexican girl to take my order because we couldn't understand each other. I'm not making any of this up, nor embellishing it in any way. Have you considered the Lebanon area, or maybe Old Hickory/Hermitage area? Your wife could catch the train to and from work. Id stay out of Davidson county at all costs.

Reason number 1,265,079,114 to NOT attend a Goodman gun show. -

Breaking news...Ft Hood Shooter..again
gregintenn replied to Raoul's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I'm dumb enough to wonder why a military base isn't one of those places where a shooter gets shot back at. :ugh: You don't hear about shootings at police precincts now do ya'? -
Couldn't the same be said of most, if not all polymer pistols?

How about the 50%-50% statistic stated on the electronic signs? If half the people killed weren't wearing a seatbelt, what were the other half doing? That isn't anecdotal; it is statistical. If you wanted to prevent death by auto accident, you would never get in an automobile.

My 19 gets carried on occasion, but my 28 gets the range time. An N frame makes 357 Mags tolerable to shoot, and the double action trigger can't be beat.

I've recently buried several friends I wish I would have thanked for various things.

 Fair enough.

Who has belittled anyone in this thread? I'll bet it's difficult to move around with that gigantic chip on your shoulder. Just because one doesn't always bow down at the altar of the FOP, that doesn't mean they are cop bashing or belittling anyone. They do a job, they get paid. That's sort of how the rest of the world works. This day and age, I admire anyone who works hard and makes an honest living. This includes, but is not limited to law enforcement officers.

With all due respect, the article is simply one man's opinion. I've yet to handle, let alone own an unreliable 1911. Further, I fail to understand why a 1911 is so much more difficult to master than any other handgun.

Be sure not to burn him out. A child has a short attention span. He needs plenty of off time from baseball as well as plenty of practice and playing time. I have two boys who live for baseball. On is in little league, and one on the high school team.

On that note, why don't we thank the school nurse, or the janitor, or the dog catcher, etc.? They all work hard and provide someone a valuable service. Shall we buy everyone on a payroll somewhere a trophy?

A K frame Smith is hard to beat; especially in magnum form.

I thought someone might want some before the next crisis/shortage. That's about as cheap as I've seen it in a while.

According to my kids, that's also the abbreviation for the Titans. Looks like it's working so far.

I was once in an accident where I would have most likely been gravely injured, if not killed had I been wearing a seatbelt. The ladie's bumper and my driver's side door was wrapped around my steering wheel. I wasn't injured. The sign said it was 50/50. I guess you and I help confirm that?

I wonder how many accidents can be attributed to people reading the signs rather than paying attention to driving.

My grandparents used to live on Charlotte Pike in West Nashville. At the time, it was a nice neighborhood.
