That was a very interesting article. It seems the NRA has improved on their magazine content in the last few years. I'd suscribe just to get the magaznine even if it weren't for supporting their agenda.   I've seen the Balister Molinas at gunshows for years at what I thought were very attractive prices. I've debated on buying one several times, but so far I haven't.

The Luger actually shoots great. Maybe you could save a bit more to up your budget and get one. They won't get any cheaper.

My wife shoots with us quite a bit. She doesn't care for any semi auto. She carries an old flat latch model 37 Smith and Wesson, and can accurately fire a model 29 until you run out of ammo. She doesn't care for the feeling of moving parts as the gun fires.   My solution; let her shoot revolvers!   I actually prefer revolvers as well, but lately I have become more and more partial to the flat shape or a semi for carrying.

Have you looked a Wal Mart? It seems they have a good selection of ARs at very attractive prices.

Works for me. I've seen some beautiful revolver grips and knife handles made from osage orange wood.

Other than having a frame, trigger, barrel, etc., it is nothing like a 1911. I don't even see the resemblance.
