  1. Now it makes sense why we are about to start a road improvement project for Airport road. I've also heard rumors of the airport expanding.
  2. a question for those of you who say you aren't Beretta fans.....Why Not?   Beretta makes nothing but high quality firearms. They have done so longer than anyone else. They have a very extensive line of rifles, shotguns, and handguns; something for just about everyone. Have you ever held one of their fine side by sides?   If you like guns, I don't see how you cannot be a fan of Beretta.
  3. I don't know where you live, but there is a nice little show in Cave City Kentucky a couple of times a year.                     http://gunshowtrader.com/gun-shows/cave-city-gun-show/
  4. I have about 8-9 years left where I work, and then I will make a career out of getting an opportunity to work for them.
  5. How do I keep the adjustable stock on my AR from pulling my beard?
  6. Hell no! I'm tumbling brass and playing on the www.
  7.                                            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYZr78e3py0   ....a different time indeed!
  8. Nary a flake today in Macon County.
  9. What are the store hours?
  10. ...and 12 years from now I predict you will wish you had stocked up now.
  11. Great story.   A couple of years back, we were about to go camping. My wife and I picked up some of those Jiffy Pop popcorn pans. We pulled them out one night at the campgrounds and the kids were every bit as amazed as I was the first time I saw a bag of microwave popcorn pop.   You could really freak her out if you still have a record player somewhere.
  12. It shouldn't go back down as long as people are willing to pay it. Did you ever have an Economics class?   I'm not thrilled about it, but as ole smilin' Larry says "....and that's the way it is."   Face it....your dollar ain't worth what it once was. If that makes you fret, I don't think you'll enjoy the next several years.
  13. What Wal Mart should do is to raise the price on it to the point where they have a constant stock of it. Right now, like it or not, it is underpriced.
  14. I still haven't decided whether Snowden is a hero or a traitor. Either way, I'd rank him way ahead of Feinstein.
  15. Spray your muffin pan with Pam if you aren't using muffin papers.   We have them pretty regularly, and you're right....they are great.
  16. No. The powder doesn't cause corrosion. The salts left behind from most spent percussion caps and from burned black powder attract moisture, which in turn causes corrosion. You have to shoot it before it's a problem.   I don't expect everyone back in the blackpowder days unloaded their rifles and revolvers every night.
  17. Looks like a great start to me!
  18. I once had a police car tailgate me extremely close. I put both feet on the brake pedal and locked it up. He took the ditch. He came back out and I could see him in my rear view mirror all red faced and jerking at his shirt collar. I was really surprised he didn't pill me over and give me crap, but he didn't. He also followed a safe distance back until he finally turned off. That's the one and only time I've had one do it to me.
  19. Your uncle had very good tastes in guns. That one is a keeper!
  20. As I remember, 380ACP was the golden cartridge of that era. I vividly remember an a-hole selling boxes of it for $100 each at the Nashville gun show, and people lined up to buy it!
  21. I once fired a broken ramrod out of a muzzleloader. Unless I suspected the previous owner loaded it with smokeless powder, I wouldn't be worried about firing it.
  22. I'll bet that if a Wal Mart manager came back there with a stack of job applications, they'd scatter like ashes.
  23. Gangbangers and thugs don't generally sport their arms in custom leather rigs, huh? I bet that's a pretty good tip off that the guy packing this way isn't a menace to society.
  24. Cap it and fire it or buy a worm type bullet puller (you'll need one sooner or later anyway).
  25. We'll need a little more information as Knight built a bunch of models.
