There were a few boxes of various 22 ammo at Academy Sports on Saturday. That was the first 22 ammo I've seen on a store shelf since this cr@p started.

I'll put it this way. If I owned a business, restaurant or other, and these two fools walked it, I would not so politely escort them to the door immediately. What gives you any indication that two people who look like that wouldn't fire those rifles, negligent or otherwise?

The frame window was lengthened to accommodate the longer cylinder. I wasn't aware any other changes were made.   I do agree that the old wadcutters are hard to beat for a 38 Special.   It was found that the J frames were actually better able to handle 357 pressures than the K frames. Model 19s were prone to cracking in the forcing cone when fired with lightweight, high speed bullets. I am not aware of that problem in a J frame.

This!^   Smith and Wesson marketed 38 Special ammo in the 70's, with their company name on it,  that is waaaaaaaaay hotter than anything available today with the +p designation.

That is a fine carry gun! It'll shoot anything that'll fit in the chamber. Telling you not to shoot +p ammo in it is a CYA from Smith and Wesson. It might eventually work loose if you shoot a BUNCH or +p ammo, but it'll take more than my hands or wallet could stand.   A model 60 is a stainless version of the 36, and could be had chambered in 357 Magnum. +p 38 Special doesn't get close to 357 mag pressures.   The Gold Dots would be fine assuming they shoot to the point of aim.

Scrap price for brass is $1.65 per pound. It's worth something. As others have said, you can purchase a membership to this forum and sell it here. Most people don't want to buy a handful, unless it is a scarce chambering, so it would be better to save it up until you have a lot of it. I buy used brass, and personally, I prefer to get it the way it hit the ground, rather than polished or otherwise processed.

You would be incorrect. Unless I'm mistaken, it isn't law that I keep a record who I buy or sell a gun to. I don't. Many other people don't either. If I sell a gun to you, and you sell it, trade it, or throw it off a bridge, how is your name attached to it?

I've build roads in Wilson County almost exclusively for several years now. I don't know why this is, but everywhere I've been, there have been old tires piled up EVERYWHERE!!! Rocks and used tires. I think that's what Wilson County is made of.

You don't have your name attached in any way to a used gun purchased from an individual. That is worth something to a lot of people.

I've been hearing about these with regularity for as long as I remember. Judging by the video on newscasts, it appears to me that a weedeater would go a long way in preventing this predictable tragedy.   What do you think?
