No need to apologize. I always enjoy your posts.

5. I'm not afraid of much, and don't have to carry a gun. I like guns, and therefore,. I am likely to have one with me.   None of your business is another valid answer.   I don't usually tell people I carry, so the conversation rarely comes up.

Sounds like a bunch of chickens around here: "Glock Glock Glock Glock Glock..................." :shake:

Sir, I did not mean to offend you, and should have kept my opinion to myself.   It does seem that on this board, the answer to any and all questions is a Glock.       "I need a new kitchen sink."   Answer: "Why don't you just buy a Glock?"     I'm not picking on you. Your post just happened to be the latest example I saw.   My pick for a 22 handgun would be a model 17 or 18 Smith and Wesson, but the OP asked for a 1911.

Why can't we have a single thread in the handgun section without someone bringing up the "G" word?   The OP said he wanted a cheap 1911. In no way does a Glock fit that criteria.   This isn't aimed at you alone, but at all the Glock fanboys out there. THERE ARE MORE HANDGUNS AVAILABLE THAN JUST A GLOCK! Everyone doesn't like them. :wall:   Thanks for allowing me to vent. I feel much better now. :hat: :D

I have one of these, and it has been great!
10. Sorry to hear that. As bad as it was, at least it wasn't in the crotch area! :panic:
11. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out at least some of these have been government sponsored in one form or another. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but in the last few years, I've seen a lot of things I wouldn't have previously believed. I put nothing past politicians trying frantically to advance an agenda, and to also get themselves out of the temporary news cycle.
12. We are on the finger of a ridge. It's about 300' down pretty much all the way around us. It is VERY susceptible to wind. It's in a fence row. Maybe it'll blow over on the other side of the fence.
13. I expect so. It got into the heart of the trunk. You can pretty much see the center. Looks like the leaves are starting to wilt as well.         If the picture is oriented correctly on photobucket, why is it sideways here? :wall:
14. Sounds like a Copperhead from the description. They aren't all striped exactly alike.
15. In fact, that is precisely what put the bug in my mind for making holsters. There just isn't a good selection of left hand holsters out there for a 51 Remington or a 1907 Savage.
16. Thanks. Did you notice how I make them all backward? :shhh:
17. It never woke me up, but lightning got this tree in my back yard. Lightning is some powerful stuff. There were splintered pieces of wood all over our back yard.
18. Thanks you for the compliment. Here's another one similar, except for a 4" 1911.
19. Occasionally. Mostly in the winter. This is my busy time of year.
20. Poets who write on ****house walls,   Roll their **** into little balls.   People who read these lines of wit,   Eat the little balls of ****.       This was one of my favorites.
21. The best way I've found to prepare a hot pocket is to take it out of the package and place it directly in the toilet.  You cut out the middle man that way.
22. I guess I just didn't "get" the city museum. :shake: My wife was like "Why the hell did you want to come here?"
23. Very well stated. I wish I could be so articulate.     Damn Erik! When I first read the title, I was under the impression a mountain lion killed your cousin! I was relieved to open the thread. Dyslexic I may be. :squint:
24. It's been a couple of years, but I saw no postings at Busch stadium. I know at least one guy who's watched a game there armed. :shhh:   St. Louis is a good place to have a gun with you.   The Arch is the only place I found you couldn't carry. They have very tight security there. No guns. No assisted open knives.   http://cahokiamounds.org/ I found the Cahokia Indian mounds a very interesting place to visit.
25. A honey bun is my bait of choice for live traps, followed by a ball of peanut butter wrapped in aluminum foil.
