  1.   That's how I understand it as well.
  2. You sound like my father. Nothing like driving around town with him looking for a gas station that's a penny cheaper than the rest. :shake:   I guess I value my time and sanity more than a dollar.
  3. Rightwinger,   Do you mind if I ask who you consider your "local gun shop"?
  4. I bought a washing machine from DT McCalls once. I guess it had a year warranty. It also crapped out at about a year and 3-4 days. I think the tub in it broke. It wasn't much when it worked. I replaced it with one from another appliance dealer locally, and it's worked great for several years now.
  5. Doesn't it have a warranty?
  6. This brings me to another question. I read the law to state it is illegal to knowingly sell a firearm to a felon. How much burden, exactly, does that place on me to determine whether or not the buyer is indeed a felon?
  7. Didn't you look it over before you bought it?   I expect the gun came in a shipment from their distributor that way , and likely hasn't been out of the box until you bought it.   Was it in a display case, or did they retrieve it in the box from the back?   It IS a Taurus, and not a valuable showpiece. It's a pocket pistol. Assuming it functions correctly and you like it, I wouldn't give it another thought.
  8. Who here has sold a gun and later needed proof of who bought it?
  9. Have you seen an NAA revolver?
  10. We agree on a price, you give me the cash, I give you the gun.   That's how I prefer to do it. It's legal and everything.
  11. I once had a Jimenez 22, and I couldn't believe how accurate it was in relation to it's size. It also fed, fired, and functioned properly. I think I sold it in a yard sale.
  12. Assuming it has enough power and a decent range, it piques my interest.
  13. Let me clarify. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, I just wish there wasn't both small and large primed brass available. It doesn't take a lot to aggravate me, and taking the extra time to separate them, and then finding a surprise you missed while trying to cram a large primer in a small hole certainly does the trick.   It was a solution to a problem that didn't exist.
  14. No. I have cussed at a few pieces, however.   I think this was invented by the same ****s that decided to put corn in gasoline. :wall:
  15. I wish my wife was into ordering ammo.
  16. It isn't a big deal. Just file or stone a bit and try it often. You can always remove more material, but adding it back is a bit more tricky.   If I can do it, it ain't that hard.
  17. A bit of filing and/or stoning work is required to fit a safety in a 1911. Nothing you can't do yourself, but they do need to be fitted.
  18. It's probably good, fresh water. I'd test it before using for drinking water regularly. If nothing else, it would be good to drop a submersible pump into and water your garden with.   So, that bushhog's working out o.k. for you?
  19. Looks like Lebanon Gun Shop.
  20. A google search doesn't turn up their website. That sucks. I liked that store.
  21. Thanks. I didn't need it, but as Loretta Lynn said, "One's on the way!"
  22. Charles Newton marched to the beat of a different drum for sure.
  23. LOL! The 22 Savage High Power uses a .227 bullet, and is also known as the 5.6x52R. Early 22 Hornets use a .223 bullet, while later ones take a .224. Don't get me started on 30 calibers! This gets more confusing than collecting Case knives.
  24. These threads always tickle me as well. Everyone wants to grab a bag and run out into the country. Well, myself and my neighbors are already here, and have been here for generations. If you aren't invited, frankly, you won't be welcomed.
  25. I would suggest wrapping the area you intend to cut with masking tape. This will help prevent splintering of the wood as you cut.   I have a youth model I might trade you, but I expect you are a pretty good ways from me.
