1. Let me clarify. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, I just wish there wasn't both small and large primed brass available. It doesn't take a lot to aggravate me, and taking the extra time to separate them, and then finding a surprise you missed while trying to cram a large primer in a small hole certainly does the trick.   It was a solution to a problem that didn't exist.
2. No. I have cussed at a few pieces, however.   I think this was invented by the same ****s that decided to put corn in gasoline. :wall:
3. I wish my wife was into ordering ammo.
4. It isn't a big deal. Just file or stone a bit and try it often. You can always remove more material, but adding it back is a bit more tricky.   If I can do it, it ain't that hard.
5. A bit of filing and/or stoning work is required to fit a safety in a 1911. Nothing you can't do yourself, but they do need to be fitted.
6. It's probably good, fresh water. I'd test it before using for drinking water regularly. If nothing else, it would be good to drop a submersible pump into and water your garden with.   So, that bushhog's working out o.k. for you?
7. Looks like Lebanon Gun Shop.
8. A google search doesn't turn up their website. That sucks. I liked that store.
9. Thanks. I didn't need it, but as Loretta Lynn said, "One's on the way!"
10. Charles Newton marched to the beat of a different drum for sure.
11. LOL! The 22 Savage High Power uses a .227 bullet, and is also known as the 5.6x52R. Early 22 Hornets use a .223 bullet, while later ones take a .224. Don't get me started on 30 calibers! This gets more confusing than collecting Case knives.
12. These threads always tickle me as well. Everyone wants to grab a bag and run out into the country. Well, myself and my neighbors are already here, and have been here for generations. If you aren't invited, frankly, you won't be welcomed.
13. I would suggest wrapping the area you intend to cut with masking tape. This will help prevent splintering of the wood as you cut.   I have a youth model I might trade you, but I expect you are a pretty good ways from me.
14. It could be done with the correct explosives.
15. Just stop it already! :wall: :wall: :wall: :D
16. I was not aware that Glock produced a 1911.
17. Yep. The longer you are in one place, the more junk you accumulate, and therefore, the bigger pain it is to move.
18. I was there today, and a lady approached the gun counter and asked "Do you have any 22 shells?"   The guy at the counter replied "Only if you buy a rifle."   Her response floored me! Se said "O.k., how much are they?"   I didn't stick around for the rest of it, but sort of wish I had now. Are people really desperate enough to buy a gun they didn't otherwise want to get 22 ammo? :shake:
19. Thanks for the heads up. I picked up a couple of nice hardback books there today.
20. Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.

New 308

That one is a 308 Marlin, but Savage and Winchester both made levers in 308 Winchester since the 50's.

New 308

Good looking rifle! Let us know how it shoots. I would build a stockpile of brass for that one if it were mine. They my catch on, and they may go the way of the 307 Winchester, which was a great and similar round.
23. I'll bet his wife made him sell it.
24. 70 Series Colt. Your choice of Commander or Gvt Model.
25. No way! :surrender:
