  1. Way to go 'Dores! Corbin is a top notch coach and a true class act. I'm sceptival about the new football coach however.
  2. Thanks for the tips. I do not have a pressure canner, and don't really want one, so I suppose I'll continue freezing the corn. It works out well.....until your freezer dies.
  3. Right, but if there's one thing there isn't a shortage of in Wilson county, it's rocks!!!
  4. That's what I was wondering. It would be tough bushhogging with the deck in place. Great looking piece of equipment! I don't see how a real guy gets through life without a pickup and tractor. :)
  5. Those would be a tough sale in Wilson county!
  6. Any of you guys ever can corn? I know you can buy canned corn at the grocery, so it can be done, buy I haven't seen anyone do it. Do you think there's a reason why not?
  7. Is the belly mower easy to take off/put on?
  8. I hope they get it straightened out. I want one if it'll work correctly.   The original model 51's are awesome.
  9. Smilin' Larry strikes again!
  10. SO you're saying that both parties will have to pay sales tax, even though one of them didn't spend any money? Would that be the same with an even trade? Are you sure?   I am certain that in the past when I've traded vehicles, I only paid sales tax on the spread; not the vehicle value. Has that changed recently?
  11. Sure. You and I aren't that far from each other, and I was afraid there was a good local gun shop I didn't know about.   I've done business with all the shops you named.
  12. You are responsible for paying tax on the $5000 spread. Most people lie about it. Even trade?
  13.   That's how I understand it as well.
  14. You sound like my father. Nothing like driving around town with him looking for a gas station that's a penny cheaper than the rest. :shake:   I guess I value my time and sanity more than a dollar.
  15. Rightwinger,   Do you mind if I ask who you consider your "local gun shop"?
  16. I bought a washing machine from DT McCalls once. I guess it had a year warranty. It also crapped out at about a year and 3-4 days. I think the tub in it broke. It wasn't much when it worked. I replaced it with one from another appliance dealer locally, and it's worked great for several years now.
  17. Doesn't it have a warranty?
  18. This brings me to another question. I read the law to state it is illegal to knowingly sell a firearm to a felon. How much burden, exactly, does that place on me to determine whether or not the buyer is indeed a felon?
  19. Didn't you look it over before you bought it?   I expect the gun came in a shipment from their distributor that way , and likely hasn't been out of the box until you bought it.   Was it in a display case, or did they retrieve it in the box from the back?   It IS a Taurus, and not a valuable showpiece. It's a pocket pistol. Assuming it functions correctly and you like it, I wouldn't give it another thought.
  20. Who here has sold a gun and later needed proof of who bought it?
  21. Have you seen an NAA revolver?
  22. We agree on a price, you give me the cash, I give you the gun.   That's how I prefer to do it. It's legal and everything.
  23. I once had a Jimenez 22, and I couldn't believe how accurate it was in relation to it's size. It also fed, fired, and functioned properly. I think I sold it in a yard sale.
  24. Assuming it has enough power and a decent range, it piques my interest.
