Do you have any suggestions for a homepage comparable to the old one? I don't like change! :wall:

 Well, I'll bet you look like an idiot anyway. Sounds like she has the situation pretty well under control, huh? Surely she hasn't considered getting...I don't know.....A GUN??!!?? A REAL DOG??!!?!? I'm beginning to find political correctness amusing.

Civil Unrest Thread got me thinking.
gregintenn replied to Randall53's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Yes, it is the "Survival and Preparedness" forum. So far, I've managed to survive and am fairly prepared for most likely scenarios which would cause problems. I've found that the location of one's home is of more importance than it being built like a military fort. I've yet to suffer a "drive by shooting", but have dealt with floods, tornadoes, and ice storms. Sickness or job loss are two of a myriad of likely possibilities one will have to face. Total societal breakdown makes for entertaining conversation on an internet forum, but honestly, it isn't likely to be the thing you'll need to be prepared for. -
I enjoyed the first two, and look forward to the third. I also enjoyed the book. To me, the movies do the book justice; more so than most books I've seen converted to movie.

I guess I'm a European-American, because no one has yet taught me where Caucasia is located. ....on second thought, I believe I'll just stick with Honky!

223=556 as far as reloading goes. Start low and work up carefully.

If this holds true to form, my knife collection just doubled in value. :ugh:

Panera's has food? All I got there was stale bread and canned soup. I haven't been back.

Tighten barrel nut with no vise?
gregintenn replied to TNMTBik3r's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
....I kept waiting for 56FordGuy to post one for sale in the classifieds here, but I finally ran out of patience. :D -
http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ Rock Island Armory 1911 9mm, $299 after $50 mail in rebate. If you can beat that, let me know.

I just bought an old Wilton 5" bench vice on ebay for $80 with free shipping. Much higher quality than most anything available new today. -
Someone will be along shortly to say that this is only an isolated incident, but these isolated incidents are being reported quite frequently. I always wonder how much goes unreported.

My wife and I almost died today, twice
gregintenn replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
I work in the road for a living. You wouldn't believe some of the things I've seen. Few people realize that a car is the most dangerous thing they'll ever touch. Dolomite, I'm glad you and your wife made it through the day's events unscathed. -
Didn't your SKS come with a stock? :ugh: Mine all did.....wood; just as God and Sergei Simonov intended. By the way, Welcome to the forum.

Good customer service, but a substandard product it sounds like.

I've never shot there, but have been in several times. They do seem like nice folks.

Thanks everyone for keeping this discussion civil. I've learned quit a bit from it, and usually discussions of a religious nature don't end well.

About all of my rifle barrels look like that. You can get it all, but it's a pain.

I imagine they'll use the same excuse as our education system and say that more funding will fix any shortcomings they might have.

You've stated in nearly every post you've posted here that the principal has violated the constitution. You can say it a million times, but you'd still be wrong. In an earlier post, you cited a supreme court decision to back your statement. Just a short while back, the supreme court decided in a 5-4 decision that the second amendment gave you the right to own a firearm. Had the decision been 5-4 that you didn't have that right, would that change the literal meaning of the second amendment to you? The supreme court has historically been wrong in many instances.

You ever been to Memphis?

I bought one 50 round box of 22 magnum ammo a few weeks back (that's all they'd allow), and mine came in the same box. Over $5 shipping. They were, however, the only place I could find where I could buy them at all.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on the first part of your post, but I can sign on to the last paragraph 100%. Public schools suck.

Know any equipment mechanics? A vice mounted to the back bumper is standard equipment on their trucks. Catch one parked and go to work (with permission, of course). -
That's the best argument I've read in this thread, but I still disagree with your premise. The 14th amendment of the U.S. Constitution states: I assume you are referring to section one. I see no encroachment of anyone's life, liberty, or property by having a prayer at a ball game. As for the State of Tennessee Constitution, you are leaving out two words; "by law". I find no evidence the principal of the school passed any law requiring prayer before a ball game.
