1892 Winchester 1894 Marlin 43 Winchester 1873 Winchester 219 Savage Colt SAA revolver Stevens Favorite 25 Remington These are a few off the top of my head. I'm certain there were many more. The 32-20, 25-20, and 218 Bee share the same parent case, only necked for different sized bullets.

So what produce are you freezing or canning this year?
gregintenn replied to Raoul's topic in General Chat
Frozen bell peppers, squash, and sweet corn. Soon we'll have pinto beans and black eyed peas to freeze. We've canned blackberry jelly, dill pickles, green beans, salsa, and tomato sauce. It's been a very good year for the garden here. A few more months and we'll try to put up some more deer burger, sausage, steaks, backstrip, and jerky. -
Quitter!!!!!

I have a similar, but later model. Mine is a 62A. It is a tack driver. I suspect yours will be as well. Winchester built very high quality guns the fist half of the 20th century.

No, I do not believe that would change my opinion.

My kids spent the night with their grandparents a while back. While cooking breakfast, their grandmother asked how they'd like their eggs cooked. Noticing the eggs were coming form an EggBeater carton instead of a shell, my oldest son told her he'd like his hard boiled. My wife says he's just like me.

Short of not flying over that area, why should we do anything about it?

Where the h3ll did you find 500 rounds of 22 ammo??!!??!?!?

Well, it depends on the value of the work they provide in those 40 hours. What makes 40 the magic number? What is the poverty line? Left alone, the market will set the value of a certain job. If all a person wants to do is show up and punch the clock, and many do, I don't think the government should set a minimum value for their meager efforts. Do you remember being in school and hearing all the teachers whining about being underpaid? Why do people go into the teaching profession if they are worried about money? Were there fewer available people willing to teach, the salary would rise to the point of making it a more attractive profession. The same goes for the movers you mentioned. No one forced them to become a mover.

I thought he'd put all our names in a hat, draw a name, and give it to the winner. :x:

I'd go a hundred!!! Now you have interest. The only thing left to do is to establish an agreeable price.

If you're easily offended, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER!!!!!!! O.k., you were warned..... Instead of whining about the government, and blaming everyone else because you don't have everything you desire, why not form a plan and do something about it? While the economy isn't the greatest right now, and our government leaders suck, many of us are still thriving and climbing the economic ladder. You can join us, or keep blaming someone else for your shortcomings. If this makes you angry, good. Perhaps it's the kickstart you need to figure out how to produce a product or service other people desire, and you have a genuine interest in. To be more successful than the next guy, you have to either be willing to do things most will not, or you'll need to know things others don't. Your employer nor the government is holding you back. IT'S YOU!!!!

If you get a gear drive, an option called "shuttle shift" is wonderful. If you aren't familiar with it, it is a stick on the steering column with three positions; forward, neutral, and reverse. It'll run the same speed backward as forward, depending on what gear you're in.

I sure like a model 39A Marlin, but you haven't named a bad option.

I dunno. I've never seen a buzzard eat a dead cat. They'll just lay there and rot.

We had 2 cucumber plants to come up. Last weekend, we pickled 6 quarts, and gave away that many more this morning. Tomatoes are piling up as well. I've given them to about everyone I know. My wife is making salsa now. If I can't do something with these coons, we won't have any corn.

I'll be contrary and say as small as you can comfortably get by with. I have a 32 hp Kubota. It'll handle a 6' bushhog, 6' box blade, single bottom plow, one row cultivator, and a 6' finish mower with power to spare. Unless I had a lot of acreage and was farming for a living, I can't see a need for a larger one for my needs.

That is a bargain today. A better revolver can't be found in my opinion.

This is NOT directed at anyone on TGO!!!!!! My son once asked me why I didn't play golf. The best answer I could think of off the cuff was that although not everyone I know who plays golf is a a-hole, EVERY a-hole I know plays golf. They seem to be quite concentrated on our local golf course. It is a great place to avoid. I have no idea if that is standard everywhere.

Thanks. I had no idea. I figured the whole resaon behind a "LIVE" trap would be to not cause harm to the animal.

As long as three is other meat available, I don't forsee eating an armadillo, oppossum, or another DUCK!!!

I think that placing people into classes is a divide and conquer government tactic. Income classes, races, gender, sexual orientation, gun owner v/s gun banners, etc. I don't care what class I'm in. Some people I associate with consider me wealthy, while others would deem me dirt poor. It's all perspective.
-
Exactly. Take the same advice for a gun safe, garage, etc. Not so much for a woman, however.

I never thought I would have a Luger, but lo and behold, I stumbled into my local gun pusher's store one day, and there in the display cabinet was a Luger priced for a song. He said a guy just brought it in and want to sell it on consignment. As the old saying goes, "A blind hog will find an acorn every now and again. It shoots as well as any 9mm I've ever fired.

Felony? REALLY??!!?? What is the proper thing to do? Allow them to eat my garden?
