  1. I had one but never shot it after reading about all the problems with them. I traded it for a Mini 14.   I want a bolt action; perhaps stainless steel.   The CZ's look good to me. I'm also considering a Savage or Marlin. Does Ruger still make a 77/22 with the boat paddle stock?
  2. Harsh but good advice to follow:     BOTH of you should turn off the video games, seek gainful employment, stop mooching off your grandparents, and go your seperate ways!   It's time to grow up and be adults. I've read nothing to provide any evidence that either of you have done this to this point.
  3. I've rarely seen this much consensus on any issue on a forum.   I'll wager you wish you hadn't asked at this point.
  4. This is NOT something you want to marry into!!!!!
  5. Did you get it yet?
  6. If needed, isn't a car a more effective weapon than a handgun?
  7. If you have one you like, or hate, I'd like to hear some opinions on different brands.
  8. Me too......2 if they also make it in 40 cal.
  9. I'll let you in on a little secret I've learned about milsurps. When they are widely available, they are dirt cheap and everybody tends to think they will always be that way. The supply of them eventually dries up, and prices skyrocket accordingly. I don't think you can point to a single instance to refute this.   The moral of the story: If you think you might want one, and it is available, buy it NOW!
  10. Sounds like you are on the right track!
  11. Ain't a damned one of you a moderator!
  12. Yup!   The book is even better.   I'd love to go to Africa someday.
  13. The Bridges of Madison County.                   :ugh: Just pulling your leg!   The Ghost in the Darkness
  14. Thanks for all your work in keeping thi a great place to hang out.  :hat: :)
  15. If you'll read this description, http://homesteadparts.com/shopcart/commerce.cgi?cart_id=1406080606.2322&product=Winchester_94_POST_64_Buttplates&pid=795   I'll bet this is the one you need: http://homesteadparts.com/shopcart/commerce.cgi?cart_id=1406080606.2322&product=Winchester_62_winchester_62A_Buttplates&pid=490   If not, look around there, and you'll probably find the one that fits.   Before buying one, make sure the stock wasn't cut to accommodate the recoil pad. If it was, it isn't likely a buttplate will fit correctly without a lot of work.
  16. There's a whole poopload of them on ebay.
  17.           http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/daily-deals/ati-gfx-45-mil.html   Wow!
  18. I have guns in 218 Bee and 32-20, but have never owned nor fired one in 25-20.
  19. I just picked and shelled a 5 gallon bucket of purple hull peas. We're blanching them now.
  20. 1892 Winchester 1894 Marlin 43 Winchester 1873 Winchester 219 Savage Colt SAA revolver Stevens Favorite 25 Remington   These are a few off the top of my head. I'm certain there were many more.   The 32-20, 25-20, and 218 Bee share the same parent case, only necked for different sized bullets.
  21. Frozen bell peppers, squash, and sweet corn. Soon we'll have pinto beans and black eyed peas to freeze.   We've canned blackberry jelly, dill pickles, green beans, salsa, and tomato sauce.   It's been a very good year for the garden here.   A few more months and we'll try to put up some more deer burger, sausage, steaks, backstrip, and jerky.
  22. Quitter!!!!!
  23. I have a similar, but later model. Mine is a 62A. It is a tack driver. I suspect yours will be as well. Winchester built very high quality guns the fist half of the 20th century.
  24. No, I do not believe that would change my opinion.
  25. My kids spent the night with their grandparents a while back. While cooking breakfast, their grandmother asked how they'd like their eggs cooked. Noticing the eggs were coming form an EggBeater carton instead of a shell, my oldest son told her he'd like his hard boiled.  My wife says he's just like me.
