Yes. I've seen the first two, and intend to see the third. While the book should be required reading in high school, the movie was better than I expected. I did find it odd that each of the first two parts contained totally different casts.

What to look for in a tent?
gregintenn replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I think my last tent I found on clearance at Kmart. I've been very happy with it, and it is several years old, and has been used several times. My son and some friends used it just last week. -
What to look for in a tent?
gregintenn replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I'd go with a cheap "on sale" tent to see if she likes it. As everyone else says, get one rated for more than two people. Those ratings are based on newborn people sizes. They also don't take into account for other stuff you'd want in the tent besides you and her. I tried to acclimate my wife to camping, and it just didn't take. We tried a tent, a larger tent, cots, air mattresses, and finally a pop up camper. Unless I could tow around a Holiday Inn, she just doesn't like camping. Don't spend a fortune on the front end. Most inexpensive tents today do a decent job of shedding water. That's about all you could expect of a tent. -
Official TGO Shooting Match #1 (August 2014)
gregintenn replied to a topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
My goodness! This isn't easy. I've gotten in a lot of practice today, however. Thanks for posting. Mechanic_X has already destroyed this one, but I thought you all could laugh at it anyway. Here's my first effort at the 100 yard target. As for the 50 yard target, I'm still working on it. I can barely see the tiny diamonds. You're welcome to laugh, giggle, or whatever at my feeble attempts here, but if you do, I ask that you post a picture of what a target should look like. I give on the 50 yard target. Everywhere I've had my eyes checked, I'm told better than 20/20, but I simply can't see the tiny diamonds form that far. Let's see em guys! -
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/974498/lee-powder-funnel-22-to-45-caliber You got one of these? YOu can stick the mouth of your case to the bottom of the powder measure, and throw a charge directly into a primed case. Pour it from the case into the pan of your scale if you want to check the charge weight, and you'll need a funnel like the one above to put the powder back into the case. You could also pour it in the top of the expander die while belling the case mouth, but I never do it that way. Don't you have a reloading manual?

Thinking about a 22 magnum rifle.....tell me about yours
gregintenn replied to gregintenn's topic in Long Guns
I'll try some different ammo if it ever becomes available again. The group posted was shot with CCI Maxi Mag +V. I have some old Winchester HPs that shoot better, but didn't have it out there at the same time as the camera. They print about 1 1/2", and I have the scope adjusted to them. I also have some sort of 30 something grain Remingtons. They don't do very well. -
Do any of you feel anxious when you carry?
gregintenn replied to bird333's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
It doesn't take long to figure out that not only is everyone NOT staring at you, 99% of them wouldn't notice if you were wearing a skirt and had an AK47 duct taped to your forehead. -
tinting tru oil to enhance contrast
gregintenn replied to graycrait's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I've always used a dye before I applied tru oil. The dye brings out the grain in the wood. The tru oil finishes and seals it, as well as making it shiny. -

I just have some odd boxes of old ammo. I would be surprised if mine won't do better with new, high quality ammo. If I can ever find some, I'll give it a try. My magazine isn't that wobbly. For a cheap truck gun, this should work well. -

For a lightweight, $225 new American made rimfire rifle with a great trigger, it'll suit my needs just fine. -

The 93 Savage shoots great, and with the accu trigger, it is easy to shoot small groups. I would recommend one for an inexpensive small game, rodent, and varmint rifle. It'll really be great when you can buy ammo for it again! -
Wow! You guys are good!!!! :o :no1:

He has the "right" to ask you a question. You have the "right" to not answer, show him your ID, tell him to pee up a rope, ask for his ID, etc. He has a gun, a badge, and likely the local court system on his side, regardless of the situation. He's likely looking for someone to screw with, or else he wouldn't have stopped to begin with. If you've done nothing wrong, you shouldn't have to contend with this, but you are pretty much fighting a losing battle no matter what you do. It sucks, but as Larry Potterfield says, "That's the way it is." :)

They make a run of no lock 642's every so often. I want to think they deem it safe enough for whatever reason because it is double action only. No lock IS the way to go. You did well.

Uncle Phil is the greatest, isn't he? He'd make it as a comedian if the political commentator gig doesn't work out.

I can't call him a friend as i've never met him, but I do count him among my heros. :usa:

What are the odds that all four barrels will fire to the same point of impact?

This thread has been harsh, with a bit of levity thrown in for good measure. You are 27 years old. We are giving you a wake up call. The truth isn't easy to handle sometimes, but in the long run, it will be good for you. Gaming dude isn't coming. He is the least of your problems. What I love about this forum is the fact that if you ask for advice, you will receive no shortage of it. We wish you no ill will. We want you to be successful. That's the reason for the blunt advice. We've all needed a kick in the pants from time to time. You are lucky to have friends here willing to do that for you.

Holster making for uncommon carry guns.

Looks good! Odd guns, added to the fact I'm left handed guided my decision to "do it yourself". -

You've never operated a Winchester 62A. I sort of like a tube loaded rifle. A loading gate or two has been known to grab my finger the wrong way.
