  1. I forgot about that. The posts along the AT were interesting.
  2. Legally, you aren't responsible. Ethically, however, is another matter entirely. I would meet with him and see if I could figure out what was wrong with it. If he hasn't screwed it up, I would likely trade back with him if that's what would make him happy. If he is belligerent, or lies to me, he's on his own at that point.       Yeah......a gun from he 80's is a newer gun in my safe!   What kind of gun is it?
  3. I was just thinking......"or he could have just been full of ####".
  4. I enjoyed this exchange between ab28 and another member.
  5. You ever hear him in an interview?
  6. You'll really enjoy the Browning.
  7. I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about Iraq, but honestly, I don't give two hoots about anyone who calls it home.
  8. I missed them.
  9. Why should evil win? Why can't those people get off their collective duffs and defend themselves instead of us sending our children over there to do it for them? Were we invaded, would they come help us?
  10. I don't think Stewart will face any criminal charges, and if he did, I don't think he'd be found guilty.   That being said, he is a ####. It wouldn't bother me if every time he showed up at a track, a group of people gathered around him and kicked his ###.
  11. Although he was a bit different, I saw him post nothing inflammatory. Guessed I missed his grand finale.
  12. We're here for ya, brother!
  13. I'll keep an eye out for Fiocchi ammo.  Like you said, mine shoots Winchester better than CCI.
  14. It's just a number. Enjoy life and don't worry about it!
  15. I've never mixed dye with oil. I stain/dye first, let dry, and then start applying oil.
  16. Good looking piece of walnut. Were it mine, I'd take a LOT of wood off it before I began to finish it. A red stain would look good on it, as would a dark brown stain. It also wouldn't look bad with just several coats of tru oil. To get rid of the glossy finish of tru oil, you can simply let it dry and then rub it with pumice powder or 0000 steel wool. Have you thought of having it checkered?
  17. I found some in stock here at Cabelas. I wish I could order more than one box. I'm not sure why they have a picture of 22 LR ammo in the ad.                       http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting/Ammunition/Rimfire-Ammunition|/pc/104792580/c/104691780/sc/104536080/Winchesterreg-22-Rimfire-Ammunition/705405.uts?destination=/catalog/browse/rimfire-ammunition/_/N-1100192/Ns-CATEGORY_SEQ_104536080?WTz_l=SBC;MMcat104792580;cat104691780&WTz_l=SBC;MMcat104792580;cat104691780;cat104536080&avad=55963_e6e4a2b3&WT.mc_id=al41227&rid=12&WT.tsrc=AFF
  18. If you'll remember a little further back in history, we helped that "cruel dictator" step into power by ousting his predecessor. WW1 and WW2 notwithstanding, our tinkering in world politics usually doesn't turn out well.
  19. It has been my experience that since the bolt locks into the barrel extension, the barrel/barrel extension assembly should be properly headspaced when you purchase it. Now if you were putting these pieces together yourself, you'd need to check the headspace. If you have any doubt, your local gunsmith should have a set of go/no go gauges with whit he could verify a proper headspace for you for a nominal fee.
  20. A duck walks into the pharmacy and asks to purchase a condom. The clerk rings up the sale and asks, "Will that be cash or charge?"   The duck says, "Just put it on my bill." :D
  21. We were there from 2001 till when; last year? If we didn't fix anything in that amount of time, what makes you think going back will make any difference?   When Bush was president, you'll likely remember the nightly national news on all 3 networks began their broadcast with a daily death toll of our forces in Iraq; EVERY NIGHT.   Today, they seem to be cheerleading attacks there. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in what is shown on the news.
  22. I believe that is taken pretty much straight form the Koran. Why doesn't someone besides the U.S. pitch in a helping hand for a change?
  23. I see. So why can't they defend themselves? We simply cannot continue to be the world's policeman. We have to many of our own problems to address.
  24. Could it be they aren't designed for 230 FMJ? I haven't tried any 185 grain mid range loads in it. I looks almost new. I can't find anything wrong with it. Again, it may just be me.
