  1. If it's one of you guys, I apologize. It just struck me as funny.
  2. No. You could commission a machinist to build a vehicle to your high standards. Makes about as much sense as you looking down your nose at the majority of people who carry standard factory built guns.
  3. Do you drive a car?
  4. CDNN is good to go. Heck, it wouldn't hurt to ask your local dealer what he can get one for. He may be able to get one for less money once you factor in what he charges for a transfer. Can't hurt to ask.
  5. Let us know what you learn.
  6. Nope. Cheap rifle, cheap ammo.....I just shoot it as is.
  7. You have a crock pot?   Here it goes:   1 lb ground deer (browned) 2 cans pinto beans (drained) 2 cans tomato sauce lemon juice black peper salt cumin chili powder dried, diced onion cilantro garlic powder Tabasco sauce (optional)       Season ground meat with salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, diced onion, garlic powder, and cilantro, and brown in skillet.   Add drained, canned pinto beans, tomato sauce, lemon juice, more salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, diced onion, cilantro, and garlic powder. Add Tabasco sauce if you like it spicy.   Add browned, ground meat.   Stir, and cook for 6-8 hour on low in crock pot.   My family loves this easy recipe. You'll need to decide amounts of each ingredient based on your preferences, as I do not measure anything.
  8. I once came home from vacation, and somewhere, my dog had picked up a carcass FULL of fleas. I asked his vet, and they sold me a pill. Within minutes of ingesting said pill, fleas began falling off him, and he was flea free the next morning. I wish I could tell you the brand of the pill, but I do not remember. I'll be a vet could tell you however.
  9. I've seen several come and go at our office. I've yet to see one of them work properly and not leak for any length of time. I'm with 56FordGuy. I'll stick with my Bunn.
  10. This is apparently how one is supposed to dress when attending a gun show. Anybody know why that is?
  11. Let's see a 25 yard group with this ammo.
  12. A $20 Timex will keep perfect time. Why do people buy Rolexes? Same thing.
  13. You have a link to this data?
  14. Wow! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Hang in there!
  15. My 4th edition (50th Anniversary) Sierra Manual shows 27.2 max for all 55 grain projectiles, and also lists this as the preferred hunting load at the bottom of the page.   This is also as high a velocity as any on the page.   Perhaps I need to update.   I do appreciate your information.
  16. Please explain. I always thought that lots of times, a compressed load took full advantage of the space in the cartridge, and denoted a satisfactory powder for a given bullet/cartridge combo.   Anyway, how 'bout the m855 loads? You got any suggestions?
  17. I like Jeff Daniels, but Jim Carey just ruins any movie for me.
  18. Where could a fellow find load data for ss109 projectiles? I mainly have IMR powders on hand. Also have a jug of W748.
  19. Remington, Colt, and pretty much every gun manufacturer in the northeast, except for Henry for some reason, appears as if they will shortly be facing hard times if not already. I don't expect Colt to make it through this decade.
  20. They'll not get cheaper.
  21. It is actually an Umerex with Colt stamped on it. Sort of like all the made in China Winchester stuff at WalMart.   I'm not trying to discourage you. As I said, my son's rifle shoots great and is reliable. I just want you to know what you are getting into ahead of time. I didn't.
  22. My son has one. It is problem free and great fun to shoot. The barrel is actually a thin liner covered by a shroud that looks like an m4 barrel. The forward assist is for decoration only. They are sort of cheap made. If i had it to do over, I'd likely get a Smith and Wesson 15-22.
  23. I don't deny being ignorant, but I'll call a person arrogant who thinks they are important enough to destroy something God designed. The earth is designed to heal itself from anything we're able to do.
  24. I've seen a video of him somewhere pulling the bus into a parking lot where he had a gig to play. The look on the peoples' faces there was priceless.
  25. Thanks. I'm definitely in the learning stage. Al Gore could be right for all I know, but I have my doubts. I sure hope you didn't take offense to my remarks.
