1. Pretty much. You'll probably have to do a bit of stoning/fitting. I always have, but it isn't a big deal. There's no drilling or extra anything with an ambi safety.
2. Altamont grips are good.
3. No problem to replace an ambi safety with a conventional one. Being left handed, I'm always going the other way with it. What is your objection to an ambi safety?
4. Did my mother in law make that picture?
5. A Rock Chucker is the gold standard in single stage presses.
6. It was a great illustration as to the depth of silliness to which this issue sinks.
7. Thank God I have boys. :surrender:
8. Thanks for the explanation. I've heard of those, but never had any experience with them.
9. For a "cheap import", I think it looks pretty good. It shoots great too.
10. I can't wait to see the ATF response.
11. No ####?!!?? :dropjaw: Why? I've NEVER changed transmission fluid or filter, and to date have never had a transmission problem.
12. Cedars. :hat:
13. Mine's a 4" with an Officer's grip frame. I can't find a bad word to say about it, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. I've owned, fired, and otherwise tinkered with 1911s in many different brands and price ranges through the years. For all practical purposes, this one is as good as any.
14. Unique is a great place to start. You know you can simply shoot 38 Special in your 357 mag., right?   2 pounds will load a LOT of rounds.
15. That's one gift I'm thankful Santa didn't deliver to my house.
16. This ought to be a sticky somewhere!  :usa:
17. Since you have a drill press handy, I'd drill it. Maybe a small pilot hole first, then work your way up. The threads should come out with the drill bit once you get to a large enough size. If not, chase them out with a tap.   The e-z outs I've tried were very hard and break easy.
18. Unless there is a pool of fluid under it, I wouldn't worry much about it. Seepage is common, and isn't really a problem. A genuine leak that necessitates you adding fluid regularly needs to be repaired.
19. Wild Rose Bushes!
20. Personally, I wouldn't accuse an M4 stock of being comfortable. I haven't held a Sig brace yet, but they couldn't be a lot worse.
21. I think he has my credit card #. :shake:
22. My ideal pistol powder trinity:   Bullseye-for light target loads. Unique-a good all around mid range powder W296-for full power magnum loads.   There are a host of other fine powders, and this list doesn't mean these three powders are the end all be all of reloading. That being said, there is very little these three won't do and do well.
23. There's no one powder that will be optimum for all three. Unique would suffice, but you'd be giving up something you shouldn't have to.   I like Bullseye for 38 special target loads.   Lately, what you can find is more of a problem than what you might want. Pistol powder seems to be in short supply for some reason.   If you're going to the trouble to get set up for reloading, you should take full advantage of the variety available and not limit yourself to one powder.
24. Gather the parts you desire and build your own to your specifications.   You'll end up with what you want and an education of how the rifle functions.
