  1. The spray from the dam also collects on the pavement and freezes in cold weather. This usually causes mayhem to ensue.
  2. Thanks for all the advice.   It turns out the 9mm I was looking for somehow morphed into a pre 64 model 70 Winchester. :ugh: Talk about ADD........
  3. Oil it and lay it out in the sun for a day, and you'll get a beautiful tan color.
  4. I'm thinking the earlier ones had the hard rubber grips while the later ones came standard with checkered walnut. You might could have got one either way at the same time, however. I'm not sure. Other options were available for extra cost.   Mine has a 4 digit serial number with the black grips.   I used to have a newer one with walnut.   These are high quality guns.
  5. I should get you to talk with my wife.    I agree. I've always ogled them, but so far haven't brought one home.
  6. I could walk to Nashville from Mt. Juliet faster than driving there most mornings.
  7. Geeeez.  I need to do the same thing, but it sure sounds like it would suck. :shake:   Way to hang in there Gordon!
  8. Put it on the inside and you'll turn your holster into a dishrag.
  9.   Saw the rail off and it looks like a winner!   I wonder if the 210 is worth the money.
  10. I'm covered in revolvers. The CZ75 looks interesting, as does a Beretta 92. Also, the Sig210 catches my eye, but they seem to be a bit on the pricey side.   Perhaps a Browning Hi Power?   I'd like a full size pistol. Not polymer. No accessory rail.   How's the trigger in the EAA Witness?
  11. What do you guys suggest. I have a Luger and a model 39 Smith and Wesson. These are all the 9s I own. Anybody have a CZ75? What do you think of it?     DON'T EVEN MENTION A GLOCK! :shake:   :D
  12. We'll go spend a weekend down there now and then at Henry Horton state park. I really like it down there. I expect it'll grow like gangbusters before long. A good place to invest in real estate in my opinion.
  13. Only put it on the slick side!
  14. Which ever one comes in the lower parts kit I find on sale.
  15. Not original, but attractive. I've no idea what kind of wood. Perhaps burl walnut? Osage orange? I dunno.

    Why would you trade?
  17. You will need to be banking some pretty good coin to live in some of the aforementioned places.
  18. Mt Juliet sounds like you. Personally, I like being more out in the country, so I'd be looking more at Chapel Hill, Arrington, College Grove, and the like.   As others have said, if it's in Davidson County, mark it off your list.
  19. No, you don't need much of a crimp. An auto pistol cartridge generally headspaces on the case mouth. All one needs to do is to remove the flare put on the case mouth in order to get the bullet started.
  20. No friggin way people are bidding that high on such junk! :shake:
  21. I'd like to see everyone paid in cash, and an IRS agent standing next to the paymaster ready to take his share in cash. How would that go over?
  22. Didn't we make an agreement with Ukraine several years back that if they'd disarm their nuclear weapon arsenal, we'd protect them? What happened to that deal?
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiih276K2wY How 'bout a little Ed Bruce?     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wWfFlsN1-A
  24. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJefPaBsSug And now, here's Conway Twitty!
  25. Me too, but this year we made about 10% more than last year, but our tax bill is nearly 50% higher than last year. That don't seem right.
