1. I saw it on GOC for $15 per can. Smell of it. If it smells like powder and not something rancid, go for it. I'm still shooting powder from cans that don't have a bar code. When did they start that? Late 70's, early 80's?   I figure if a man had as much powder as was shown in the ad, he likely knew how to properly store it.
2. Finally!   My boy was reading Craigslist this morning when he read me an ad. Expecting me to shoot holes in his idea like always, he was taken aback when I told him to tell the guy we'd come look at it.   We had to skip church this morning to try and beat the next guy to it, but there it was.  2004 Toyota 4x4 with an honest 83k miles. No dents, no problems, and in his price range.   I was beginning to think it didn't exist. I guess patience pays off. Now to get forgiveness for skipping church..... :hiding:
3. Tell the lady in firm language that because of her, there is now one more armed criminal in her neighborhood, and if she has a run in with him, don't even consider calling you for help. Maybe she could show him her sign.   That sucks. Sorry to hear it.
4. Lots of online retailers show a pretty good selection of 357 mag ammo in stock. Looking at the prices, however, I have to second the idea of reloading! That's what I do. I had no idea it had become so expensive.   You notice how 357 mag is nearly twice the price of 38 special? It's virtually the same price to reload.
5. First it's the dog; next she'll be coming after you! :stunned:   Seriously, the only difference I noticed in my dog is that he stays home more.
6. Just because something is newer doesn't always make it better. Stick with what works.
7. You've got it!   Like PackinMama said, if you feel compelled to talk with him, don't spend the rest of your life in regret; do it.
8. Did he expound upon what would be the proper number of guns for America?
9. I always wondered where I put that. :ugh: Oh well.....
10. Really? I'm pretty sure every dog I've ever had had a run in with a skunk. I'm also pretty sure all of them were wise enough to give skunks a very wide berth after that.
11. If you're going to treat it rough, you might consider a set of Pachmayr grips for it.
12. I didn't see a bathroom in the room.
13. Semi autos just aren't as sexy!
14. Purely personal preference.   Me? I own several of both.
15. See the large groove you've squeezed into the bullet? I can't imagine that would do anything for accuracy. I'd also be concerned about the plating separating. Think what if the back half of the plating comes off tha bullet and gets lodged in the barrel. What'll happen on the next shot?   If you want a good, firm crimp, get bullets with a crimp groove or cannelure.
16. Thanks for all the help and suggestions everybody! St. Simons appears to be exactly what I was looking for.

18. I think the guy I know has retired. Sorry.
19. Thanks everybody! I'd thought maybe a couple of days in St. Augustine, then move on up the beach to Savannah. She's been to Savannah, but I haven't.     Thanks Leroy. We've been to Charleston many times. I love that old town, but looking for something new to us. Sort of like Gulf Shores; if I go one more time, I'm eligible to run for mayor!   Eric, If you've never been, you've GOT to go to Charleston, SC. Hell, spend a month there. You'll not run out of things to see and do.   I had a great aunt and uncle who lived there. He was in the Navy, and stationed there. After he retired, they just stayed. I used to love to go and spend time with them there in the summer. He hated kids, but for some reason, he and I always got along great.
20. My wife wants to go on a trip for our anniversary in June. I'd like to take her somewhere we haven't been. Would this be an interesting place to spend a few days?   Do you have a particular place to stay that you'd recommend?   I'm open to other suggestions as well.
21. LOL! I'm too close to Atlanta now.

Youth 20 Guage

That's what my kids have; 20 gauge to be precise. While a gas operated automatic will help mitigate recoil. neither of my boys seemed to object to the recoil of the 870.
23. I don't believe the plated Berry's bullets have a crimping groove. I wonder if you didn't cut into the plating. That couldn't be good. Your crimp looks right for a jacketed bullet with a cannelure. With the plated bullets, I'd only crimp enough to remove the bell you created for loading the bullet.
24. Here's how I price a holster.   How many hours labor to produce it? =A How much per hour do I value my labor? =B How much did the materials cost? =C   (AB)+C=Price   If it won't sell for that, I may need to revisit the value of my labor.   If I'm beginning to get overwhelmed with orders, again, I'll revisit the value of my labor.
25. Wow! That was a powerful article. Do you reckon Rev. Al read this?
