That was the die I described. I'm not real good at explaining things. You turn the die body down until it touches the case mouth of the factory round, lock it in place on the press, then turn the seating die down until it contacts the bullet. In my opinion, you do not need a crimping die, as the seating die will do it all in one step.

230 gr FMJ or plated, and 5.0 gr Bullseye. I understand this was the old military load, and works great in everything I own.

If you're wanting AR parts, a complete AR, ammo for an AR, etc., Now is the time you'll soon be wishing you could go back to, where the stuff is plentiful and cheap. Don't let it slip by.

Yup....you can hold on to it. I'm trying 380 auto now, and it's like castrating gnats. Anyone who reloads 25acp has my utmost respect.
-
LOL! He chewed the chit outta that brass, didn't he? A resizing die ain't gonna fix that.
-
Same here. So far, I've yet to find a split 45acp case. Perhaps they last forever? Don't sweat it. A case split at the mouth will not damage you or your gun. I don't recall how much reloading experience you have, but I'll share with you and everyone else a couple of things I've learned about reloading auto pistol cartridges. 1)Bell the mouth of the case after resizing only enough so the bullet will start easily. The bell should be barely visible when looking at it. 2)When seating the bullet, crimp the case only enough to remove the bell, as the case headspaces on the mouth. 3)An easy trick to adjust your bullet seater die: a) put a factory round with a similar bullet in the shellholder of your press. b) Back the bullet seater nearly all the way out of the die, and screw the die into the press a bit. c) Pull the handle all the way down so the factory round is as far in the die body as it will go. d) Screw the die into the press until you begin to feel resistance, and lock it in place. This will provide the same crimp as factory. e) Screw the bullet seater into the die until it stops. At this point, you should be adjusted to where your press will produce a round with the same dimensions as factory stuff. This means it should function reliably. Sorry if everyone but me knew this. I've seen a lot of threads here and elsewhere where people were fussing over how much to crimp and case overall length.

A friend at work has been catching several crappie there. I haven't been able to get a bass to hit a d@mned thing the last couple of weeks. I think I'll give the crappie a go tonight.

I really dislike hearing people making excuses of why they aren't successful. Stories like the show that it's usually the fault of the man in the mirror, not someone else, for where one is in life.

I'll bail you out if you decide you shouldn't have bought it.

Commenter goes off on. Chan 5 over bad reporting

I dunno. At least they don't have a weatherman named Barrack Shapiro. DO you think hes smart enough to know how many people he pissed off by putting those two names together? Surely his mother didn't actually name him that. -
If you want to drive all the way to Lafayette, I'll be glad to help. Sounds like other guys are closer. I'm all thumbs, but managed to fabricate a working rifle from a TGO receiver set. You'll do great. I'd advise you to pick up a dust cover pin with the c clip already installed.

Any of you sold a house to a person with a VA loan?
gregintenn replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Doesn't a real estate agent usually have the ability to price a home? I am assuming David is using a real estate agent. After a while, you get to the point where avoiding a headache is worth a few bucks. -
Yeah.....rub it in. :shake: We don't have that problem here. No one was open yesterday that sold minnows. I'd like to go back this evening and try to get on some crappie. You're right. They are delicious.

Where are you?

A good neighbor is a valuable asset. I have several and try to be one in return.

A cash sale makes those problems go away. David went the route I would have taken based on the information he gave. -
If so, what are they biting?

Anyone regretted not using headspace gauges on a new build?
gregintenn replied to sonusfaber's topic in Long Guns
Put an AR together and shoot it. Don't overthink the headspace. -
I have a Chevy, and in the past, I've had Fords, Dodges, etc. My son now drives a Toyota. The Toyota gets the nod from my past experiences. I've heard good reports from Nissans as well.

This farm was his parents'. His mother died several years back, and his father before that. This man was mentally impaired. I'm relatively certain he wouldn't have had a will. On the tax map, it lists his deceased parents' names, and "in care of" blah blah nursing home. His next of kin would be some cousins. He had no close family left.
-
I always thought I'd like one, but when I was looking for an AR, I never found one for sale. Now I have a pile of AR's (not sure how that happened), and I don't guess I need another. Short of putting one together yourself, I doubt you'd do much better for the price than the S&W Sport.

My neighbor passed away about three weeks ago. He spent several years in a nursing home, and I expect they have a lien on his farm. Is there a standard process for them to sell it and get their money? I'm not real educated on estate probate. I just want a chance at purchasing this property. I haven't seen a probate notice for him yet. Is there anyone in particular I should ask about this? Will it sell at public auction? Any insight you may have will be greatly appreciated.
