  1. Mosin Nagant. ***My word! After looking, Mosins aren't that cheap anymore!***   I've never been happy later that I bought a "cheap" rifle.   I'd suggest you save up a bit more and buy something you can enjoy and take pride in owning.   Let's let "cheap" go for a moment. What sort of rifle trips your trigger, so to speak?
  2. My wife's phone woke me up about 2am this morning with that alert.   She never moved.
  3. You've earned it. Enjoy.   I've been shoveling snow all morning. I've earned that as well I suppose.
  4. I didn't think it was very cold last night.   Wednesday night/Thursday morning was -8. How'd they survive that? Last night was upper 20's/lower 30's.
  5. I do it in a similar fashion. Since the OP has the bullet seater adjusted properly, I'd suggest this:   1) While holding the seating die body still with one hand, loosen the nut/locking ring that holds it in place.   2) Unscrew the bullet seater a few turns while holding the die body with the other hand. This will insure you won't seat the bullet any further.   3) Put the loaded round into the shellholder and raise it all the way into the die.   4) Screw the die body down until you feel resistance.   5) Lower the round from the die body, screw the die body about a quarter turn further into the press.   6) Tighten the locking ring, and again raise the loaded round fully into the die.   7) Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you've removed the belling from the case mouth. At this point, you have the crimp set properly.   8) Again, raise the loaded round all the way into the die body, and screw the bullet seater back in until you fee lt touch the bullet.   Your die should be properly set now.   It sounds way more complicated than it really is.   Where are you? I would be happy to show you in person if you're close to Lafayette.
  6. Babies aren't nearly as fragile as they appear. She'll be fine soon. Hopefully you guys won't catch it. It might really be rough on you.   I'm always amazed at how quickly a baby can go from well to very ill, and then how quickly they recover.   She's a doll! That's for sure.
  7. My grandfather and Ewing Bass were friends. My grandfather used to drive a racecar for Mr. Bass.   They've both long since past, but the garage has been there forever, and always had a good reputation.
  8. I heard a loud boom this morning. It was the back of my head hitting the parking lot at work. I'm ready for spring.
  9. I found this limerick written in her honor in the comments section amusing.
  10. Either way would work. Personally, the more forthcoming you are with information, the more likely I am to purchase from you.   I try to tell all and let the chips fall where they may. I'd rather lose a buck or two than to sell someone something and later find out they weren't happy or felt misled. A man's reputation is worth something.
  11. Yeah, but they were declaring "Code Red" this morning on channel 17.

    cz 75

How much cabbage does a man have to lay out this day and age to acquire a CZ75b? You guys make a great case for me needing one.
  13. Looks like that little memo gave ammo retailers quite the economic boost this weekend.   We indeed live in interesting times.
  14. The spray from the dam also collects on the pavement and freezes in cold weather. This usually causes mayhem to ensue.
  15. Thanks for all the advice.   It turns out the 9mm I was looking for somehow morphed into a pre 64 model 70 Winchester. :ugh: Talk about ADD........
  16. Oil it and lay it out in the sun for a day, and you'll get a beautiful tan color.
  17. I'm thinking the earlier ones had the hard rubber grips while the later ones came standard with checkered walnut. You might could have got one either way at the same time, however. I'm not sure. Other options were available for extra cost.   Mine has a 4 digit serial number with the black grips.   I used to have a newer one with walnut.   These are high quality guns.
  18. I should get you to talk with my wife.    I agree. I've always ogled them, but so far haven't brought one home.
  19. I could walk to Nashville from Mt. Juliet faster than driving there most mornings.
  20. Geeeez.  I need to do the same thing, but it sure sounds like it would suck. :shake:   Way to hang in there Gordon!
  21. Put it on the inside and you'll turn your holster into a dishrag.
  22.   Saw the rail off and it looks like a winner!   I wonder if the 210 is worth the money.
  23. I'm covered in revolvers. The CZ75 looks interesting, as does a Beretta 92. Also, the Sig210 catches my eye, but they seem to be a bit on the pricey side.   Perhaps a Browning Hi Power?   I'd like a full size pistol. Not polymer. No accessory rail.   How's the trigger in the EAA Witness?
  24. What do you guys suggest. I have a Luger and a model 39 Smith and Wesson. These are all the 9s I own. Anybody have a CZ75? What do you think of it?     DON'T EVEN MENTION A GLOCK! :shake:   :D
  25. We'll go spend a weekend down there now and then at Henry Horton state park. I really like it down there. I expect it'll grow like gangbusters before long. A good place to invest in real estate in my opinion.
