I've never experienced a static electric shock while reloading. I do it in the basement, and in a garage before that. Neither were heated and cooled, so there wasn't a problem with dry air. I also never had carpet in either. I've found dry air and carpet to be two contributing factors to static electric shocks.   Have you ever lit a pile of smokeless powder? Try it outside. I think you'll be quite disappointed. It's more a slow fizzle than a kaboom.

Sometimes it gets to the point where even "hot" doesn't matter.

Oh boy! Yet another overpriced 1911. At least they could have parkerized or blued it if authentic was what they were shooting for.   I like 1911s, but like ARs, I think the market is pretty well covered already.

It doesn't take much pressure to insert primers, but so far I've had no problems with it.   Those Wal Mart Federal Value packs sure were accurate. It seems a shame to throw away the brass.

Look up recent sales figures and form your own opinion.

Keep in mind that most of us have "the box".   This box is filled with holsters that seemed like a good idea at the time, but somehow never panned out.   I'd say you should still try a good gunbelt. You'll need it even if you do decide to try a different holster.

No, that's not it. Try a quality double layer  leather gun belt, and your saggy pants will be a thing of the past. They aren't cheap, but for carrying a handgun all day everyday, a good gunbelt is a necessity.

I too would equate the recoil to a lightweight 30-06 with a steel butt plate. Not unbearable by any stretch, but not a rifle you'd want to fire a case of ammo through on a Sunday afternoon either.

I just heard on the radio that the ATF was scrapping the planned ban. Not sure what their source was.

That doesn't seem fair. If that's true, there's Obama's path to ending gun sales. What if the ATF sent agents to rob all gun stores repeatedly, and then pulled their license?

I don't think you disrespected him in any way. I do believe he disrespected you however.

Man, I spent about $5000 the last time we went to Disney. You could ride a shuttle from our room to the lobby of the resort we stayed in. As big as the place was, sometimes we did.  All meals, drinks, and snacks were included. So was a round trip flight. My wife and kids swear it was worth it. There's a LOT to do and see there.

I've got receivers, a bcg, and lower parts kit set aside for my 11 year old for when he gets old enough to decide what he wants to build.
