  1. I rarely get tomatoes before July. Last year, however, I did have some in mid to late June.
  2. Liberty makes the best safes.
  3. I planted my garden yesterday. There's no hurry; especially for tomato plants. If you plant tomatoes in February, and pretending frost doesn't get them, they won't be any larger today than they were when you planted them. Tomatoes do not grow until the ground gets to a certain temperature.
  4. You know what? Screw the rest of the country! I've seen the rest of the country, and we've got a good thing going on here in the South. Been to California lately?
  5. If more people were honest as you, the world would be a much better place. Thank you for your service, and thank you for being a contributing member here. I get sick of police here whining because they get a bit of criticism, which is usually not directed at them in the first place. Police are people. Some of them are simply sorry. That's the way it is. Stick up for them, and you'll likely be lumped into the same category as them.   People of other professions get criticized as well. Some deserve it; some don't. That's life.   You sir, have my respect, for what it's worth. I wish there were more with your point of view.
  6. I like shooting things I can eat: Deer, turkeys, squirrels, rabbits, etc.
  7. Ouch! Here's the real problem.
  8. I tried this method with some ancient 303 Savage brass. I still had about every other one split a neck in the sizing die. Maybe I didn't do something right.
  9. It says Saturday special, up to $1500, but I still got it today. Seems like good prices there for plated bullets.
  10. Yes! Last October, I got covered with poison ivy. A day or two after getting a shot and taking the pills, I lost not only the poison ivy rash, but also the pain in my elbow and in my lower back running down my leg.   As I said, this was the first part of last October, and none of these has returned.
  11. I still have the Hunter's Safety Course card too. Also, there's still a "Get Out OF Jail Free" Monopoly card in there from my youth. So far I haven't had to whip it out, but a guy's gotta be prepared, right?   We are indeed about the same age. I'll be 42 in July.
  12. Probably a good cleaning and lube would help the slide to operate properly. Assuming it's in a dovetail slot, you can drift the rear sight with a hammer and punch.
  13. I registered on July 19th, 1991. I still have the card in my pocket.
  14. Save up, or keep what ya got.
  15. How bout the Nashville Rescue Mission? I'll bet they could fix you up, and could use your assistance as well.
  16. You had to go sign up at the post office when I turned 18. I guess that's still how it's done? Surely you did.
  17. I hear a lot of horror stories lately about customer service. I'm not aiming this at you, but I think you'd be amazed at the current quality of the average customer today. If all a person deals with is idiots every day, they soon forget how to treat a genuine human being when they run across one.
  18. Definitely not a Leupold. I've never heard of them not honoring their warranty.
  19. Nothing can beat that! Congratulations.
  20. http://www.jamesbest.com/jamesbest.com/Welcome.html He was quite a guy and a great source of entertainment to me.
  21. I love the sound, look, and feel of silver coins. I wish we still used them.
  22. Sounds like a wonderful place you're going to buy. I don't know if you'll find all that criteria on one farm, but I'd suggest you start looking around Crossville.
  23. So you're saying a person is gay if they own either? :stir:
  24. Because they have it and nobody else does.   It sucks, but economically, it's a better deal than spending all day and a tank of gas driving around looking for it elsewhere.
  25. I ate a can of smoked oysters for lunch today and all I got was the squirts. :shake:
