1. A friend at work has been catching several crappie there. I haven't been able to get a bass to hit a d@mned thing the last couple of weeks. I think I'll give the crappie a go tonight.
2.   I really dislike hearing people making excuses of why they aren't successful. Stories like the show that it's usually the fault of the man in the mirror, not someone else, for where one is in life.
3. http://www.midwayusa.com/general.mvc/index/how-it-all-got-started   You all may have read this before, but I just now saw it on another forum.
4. I'll bail you out if you decide you shouldn't have bought it.
5.   I dunno. At least they don't have a weatherman named Barrack Shapiro. DO you think hes smart enough to know how many people he pissed off by putting those two names together? Surely his mother didn't actually name him that.
6. If you want to drive all the way to Lafayette, I'll be glad to help. Sounds like other guys are closer. I'm all thumbs, but managed to fabricate a working rifle from a TGO receiver set. You'll do great. I'd advise you to pick up a dust cover pin with the c clip already installed.
7. Doesn't a real estate agent usually have the ability to price a home? I am assuming David is using a real estate agent.   After a while, you get to the point where avoiding a headache is worth a few bucks.
8. Yeah.....rub it in. :shake:   We don't have that problem here. No one was open yesterday that sold minnows. I'd like to go back this evening and try to get on some crappie. You're right. They are delicious.
9. Where are you?
10. A good neighbor is a valuable asset. I have several and try to be one in return.
11. A cash sale makes those problems go away. David went the route I would have taken based on the information he gave.
12. If so, what are they biting?
13. These were the best shows in Middle Tennessee; whatever that's worth to you.
14. I expected pictures. :ugh:
15. Put an AR together and shoot it. Don't overthink the headspace.
16. I have a Chevy, and in the past, I've had Fords, Dodges, etc. My son now drives a Toyota. The Toyota gets the nod from my past experiences. I've heard good reports from Nissans as well.
17. This farm was his parents'. His mother died several years back, and his father before that. This man was mentally impaired. I'm relatively certain he wouldn't have had a will. On the tax map, it lists his deceased parents' names, and "in care of" blah blah nursing home.   His next of kin would be some cousins. He had no close family left.
18. I always thought I'd like one, but when I was looking for an AR, I never found one for sale. Now I have a pile of AR's (not sure how that happened), and I don't guess I need another.   Short of putting one together yourself, I doubt you'd do much better for the price than the S&W Sport.
19. My neighbor passed away about three weeks ago. He spent several years in a nursing home, and I expect they have a lien on his farm. Is there a standard process for them to sell it and get their money? I'm not real educated on estate probate. I just want a chance at purchasing this property. I haven't seen a probate notice for him yet.   Is there anyone in particular I should ask about this? Will it sell at public auction?   Any insight you may have will be greatly appreciated.
20. Mine has no safety and a little kitty cat on it. I really like it, but would trade it for a pre safety Marlin in a heartbeat.
21. A lower buck limit makes for better quality bucks; not necessarially more bucks. With lower limits, people will be more selective, and therefore the bucks are allowed to mature before harvest.
22. Or piano....or pool table.
23. You saved some aggravation and five bucks. It's a good building to have a show. Plenty of people there. All that was lacking was vendors.
24. ........was a turd. I wish we could have a decent gun show within reasonable driving distance from the Nashville area.
25. You do realize that sometimes the criminal is wearing a badge?
