  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6c6eUeoa9Q You won't find anything this good on the radio!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. The m44 is a neat battle rifle. I think the 91/30 would make a good frog gig, pry bar, or weenie roasting stick.
  3. That's about what I had pictured in my mind. I still can't imagine a setup that would work on the non drive axle.
  4. I recently picked up a 91/30 from a fellow TGO member. I can attest that it has some very noticeable recoil as well. That being said, I'm not much of a magnum guy. It may be the difference in stock shape or something else, but it definitely is less enjoyable to shoot than a standard weight Model 70 Winchester in 30-06.   A 22 lr it's not.
  5. I'd be interested to see that setup.
  6. Happens to me a lot.....someone keeps on and on wanting to know what I think. They won't stop, so finally I give in and tell them what I think. Then they leave all pizzed off. All because they couldn't mind their own business. .....and my wife wonders why I'm, not a "people person". :shake:
  7. If it's like the earlier version, it won't shoot anything.
  8. Right. If you don't want him, chances are your neighbor won't be too happy about receiving him as a gift from you either.
  9. No it isn't. You'll want to look around while your there, and ask some questions as well.
  10. Have you looked at Tandy Leather in Antioch?
  11. That's the way the ball bounces.   I recently helped my son build a cheapie AR, and I'll be d@mned if it won't outshoot anything I own!   You never know til you shoot it.
  12. It didn't end well either. We did get to meet pitcher Jordan Sheffield's family, as well as Vanderbilt's athletic director and wife.   After two rain delays and a poor performance, Vandy handed the SEC trophy to Florida.
  13. Your asking this on a GUN forum? :shake: :shake:
  14. He was making sure you knew he wasn't a Jenny!
  15. I just got an email from Midway for $10 off $100 order, or $15 off a $150 order.
  16. I've ordered a LOT of stuff from Palmetto. Although I've heard horror stories of their shipping, everything has showed up here within a week.
  17. I like Live Bait.   If you make it over to Ft. Walton, Stewby's is a must go. It isn't fancy, but you get a lot of great food at a bargain price.
  18. Orange Beach/Gulf Shores is about my favorite place on earth.
  19. LuLu's is a fun place and pretty good.   Desoto's is one of my favorites.   A short drive up to Foley and you'll find Lambert's. Not seafood, but you simply have to go there once.   The Shrimp Basket has good seafood at affordable prices.   There's a seafood buffet at Hazel's.   King Neptune's, Tacky Jack's, and Live Bait are some more I'd recommend.
  20. Send it to fellow member UncleJack, and he'll make an Indian bracelet out of it!
  21. Yes. You can knock out a live primer with your sizing/depriming die. What's the problem? Split case necks?
  22. I seem to recall a bit of David's story. Would someone please refresh me on the ending? Was he prosecuted? If so, was it solely because he used handloaded ammo?   The short answer is if you shoot someone, you are in for a world of headache and legal fees, regardless of whether you were completely legal or not.
  23. The legal aspect of this question is a dead horse that has been sufficiently flogged for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time on the internet. I've yet to see proof of this being an issue a single in a self defense court case.   That being said, I'm just as comfortable, if not more so, with my handloaded ammunition than factory loaded ammunition.   There's no magic in a loaded round of ammunition.   Ever wonder how old west cowboys and Indians got factory ammunition for their muzzleloaders and long bows?
  24. You know what? Thinking about it, I am pretty much where I've worked all my life to be. I suppose it's time to start doing more to help others who haven't been as fortunate.  Damn, I feel old now. :shake:   I guess if I had a wish for myself, it would be that I was more of a people person. Weird, huh?
  25. I'm betting my mail lady would be on board for this bill. She once told my wife "I don't know what your husband keeps buying, but it sure is heavy!   The UPS guy knows the return addresses because he orders from several of the same places.
