Show Of Hands -- Who would prefer to use a Credit Card over PayPal?
gregintenn replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Whatever works best for yo David. -
Politicians say a LOT of things. I judge them by their actions. I don't see it being all that great at a state level either.

Man's best friend, asset or liability?
gregintenn replied to Rhodewarrior's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I don't care if my dog is an asset or liability. If he can't go, I don't want to go either. -
You do realize that while governor of Massachusetts, he enacted "Romney Care", which was the model for what you are enjoying now on a national scale, right? So, no. Not conservative enough would be the equivalent of what we have now, with the added benefit of Dems blaming Republicans for screwing things up. What we ALL need to do is stop voting for who the Democrat controlled media tells us can win the general election and start voting our conscience. As long as you let the Dems pick your primary candidate, you'll have hell beating them next November.

You might try going to a different bar.

Even better than a Colt!

My kid couldn't see a deer if it was in the cab of the truck with us! That's all I have to say about that. :D

Just Inherited Lots of New Firearms - Need Help Appraising
gregintenn replied to Hammer285's topic in Show and Tell
Nice stuff. I'd say 10 ring is in the ballpark value wise. The Hi Standard 22mag derringers are quite sought after, but I'm seeing a cracked grip and a lot of missing finish on this one. -
Here's an 1873 on a date with a J frame. :pleased:

You want a Colt, buy a Colt. Don't shortchange yourself. You can always get your money back if you decide to.

Wil-e-coyote always mail ordered from them. I don't know.

Has anyone seen a "living" armadillo in Tennessee?
gregintenn replied to K191145's topic in General Chat
Never have I seen a live one, but have seen hundreds of them squished along the shoulder of I 65 south of Nashville. -
Those of you who voted for free crap are getting what you deserve. Those of you who didn't....welcome to the reality created by those who did.

Have mercy! That's a quite interesting collection.

That was strange... squib like load
gregintenn replied to 10-Ring's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
A different primer could change your point of impact noticeably. I've never used Blackhorn, so can;t give advice for it. I never had any problem whatsoever igniting 777 pellets with the primers that came with the rifle (At least I think you got some primers with the rifle). If you can see through the flash hole before loading, the powder charge should go kaboom! -
A little boy with very little patience=no deer this morning. He's now gone to a halloween party and spending the night. I'd say that's the end of juvenile season for us this year.

Last year was my oldest son's last year, but my 12 year old son is ready to go in the morning.

A while back, I bought a set of tires on the classifieds here that used to belong to David. On the way home, I stopped at Discount tire in Lebanon to ask how much they'd charge to mount and balance them. Their price was high, so I said thanks and started out the door. The salesman stopped me asd asked what I'd pay. I told him what I could have it done for locally, and he invited me back in for them to do it at the same price. Well, they did a great job, and were very nice and professional. I remembered that. Last week, I was looking for a set of tires for my son's truck as a birthday present. After pricing tires, I ordered a set from the Gallatin location. I went to have them installed today, and after pricing some trailer tires, I pulled my trailer with me, and bought tires for it as well. Again, I was met with the most friendly and professional people you'll find. Also, I can't find anywhere to beat their prices. I'll be dealing with this place until something changes. I like to read about good experiences with local businesses, and thought I'd share one. If you need tires, this is a great place to go.

I'd make a new one and drive off.

My wife also works for them and is required to get one, even though she works from home.....65 miles away.

Why would you suggest only reloading for three calibers? Having several hard to find calibers is THE reason I got into reloading. Variety is the spice of life.

Hornady Says “We Change Everything – 10/27/15”

:waiting: A little overly dramatic wouldn't you say? -
Theoretically, you can save money reloading, but no one ever has. :hat:
