  1. I don't have a water source on my property except for city water.
  2. To me, banning such a popular product would be akin to Ford dropping the F-150 from it's line.   It's so popular that you can't find it anywhere now.   Stranger things have happened, but it doesn't pass the smell test.
  3. Wanna really pizz your wife off? Tightly stretch a piece of saran wrap over the bowl, and then let the seat back down.   If she don't look at the position of the seat, she'll never see the saran wrap till it's too late.   We have a "leave it like ya found it" policy here regarding toilet seats. Sort of like gates.
  4. Seriously, Phil Valentine has the right idea on the illegal immigration issue in my opinion. You don't deport anyone. You simply "demagnetize" the United States. This means you make penalties so tough for doing business with illegals that no one will hire them or trade with them, and they'll deport themselves.
  5. If you look at a map, you'll find that the more of what is now Mexico we occupy, the shorter the wall needs to be. :D Just a thought....
  6. This is where my home and family is. I ain't leavin'! :usa:
  7.       http://www.northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/threads/179192-DIY-Shovel-AK-photo-tsunami-warning!   I like this method for fabricating one's own receiver. :D
  8. I'd be interested in an example.
  9. If I can do it, anyone can. You'll need a few inexpensive tools. There's no shortage of instruction and information on the net. The options are virtually endless this way.
  10. If you want an AR, I've put together some pretty good stuff cheaply by watching daily sales at palmetto state armory.   Anderson Arms also sells AR parts as well as complete rifles at very competitive prices. I've had no problems with their stuff either.   If you'd prefer an AK, I second Dolo's suggestion of a WASR. I've read a lot of bad reviews on the net regarding them, but my experience with them has been stellar.   Furthermore, I've found the SKS to be a pretty much trouble free, foolproof design that can still be had a reasonable prices.
  11. Thanks for the reminder. I wasn't aware this had become a problem. Of course, there are a lot of things I'm not aware of.
  12. That would make a neat boy scout project.
  13. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/tenn-school-district-says-it-can%E2%80%99t-stop-students-from-displaying-confederate-flag-unless-it-causes-a-%E2%80%98disturbance%E2%80%99/ar-BBlIFZE   This article doesn't pertain to our school, but it did remind me of a recent event.   The first day of school, our high school has a new principal. He gathers the school together for his big speech. One of the items on his agenda was to ban the display of the confederate flag, or the wearing of apparel depicting it. Well, the next day, my kids as well as many other wore their best Dukes of Hazzard t shirts, and the superintendent's phone never quit ringing. Oddly enough, the new principal was told if he liked his job, he'd ease up a bit on the restrictions.   He was good with rainbow stuff and all that entails, but the confederate flag was a no go.   This makes me wonder what is now taught in history class.
  14. I'd suggest you peruse the net for some how to instructions, go down to your local Tandy Leather store, buy a few tools and some material, and make your own. Try finding a left handed holster for a Model 51 Remington. That's how I started. It's really a fun hobby, and when you get a bit of experience with it, you won't have to sell many holsters to recoup your minimal tool investment.
  15. You won't find a standard grade in decent condition for $500. If I could get a nice supergrade for under a grand, I'd be all over it. This is assuming it has controlled round feed.
  16.   It seems you guys aren't familiar with Wilson County. When he says "rocky soil", what he's actually referring to is solid limestone.
  17. Sounds like a plan to me.
  18. What I'm talking about is a track drill. This will get expensive, but I don't know much other way to put a fencepost into limestone.
  19. When were they made?   Are they pre 1964? If not, were they made in New Haven Conn. or South Carolina? Do they have claw extractors?
  20. Mine has always worked like a charm.     I think a lot of the internet b.s. is written by folks who have never fired one; let alone own one.
  21. Yup. You win!     Did your package ever get there?
  22. It appears this package left Pennsylvania, cam to Tennessee, went back to Pennsylvania, and came back to Tennessee. I wonder where else this well traveled package will visit before I get to see it in person.   I guess everyone makes a goof up once in a while. All in all, I've had good luck with the post office.   Do you think it got left on a truck or something?
  23. I've yet to own a Savage that wasn't amazingly accurate.
