  1. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ammunition/ammo-clearance.html?cat=4542&utm_source=300+Black+Pistol+Kit+319.99+|+PRVI+Ammo+Clearance&utm_campaign=Constant+Contact&utm_medium=email   Now's the time to "buy it cheap and stack it deep!"
  2. You are correct, but......the OP is wanting to shed debt and build a credit rating. He should pay cash. If he doesn't have cash, he doesn't buy it!   Screw a credit rating!   You and I are likely in a place where we can benefit a small bit from a credit card perk. It doesn't sound like the OP is.
  3. So you are telling me that you've become independently wealthy with credit card perks? :ugh:   I have a card, and use it for convenience. I also pay the full balance monthly.   A lot of folks don't need a credit card, because they assume if the card still works, they still have money.
  4. A friggin' credit card ain't going to get you where you want to be!
  5. WalMart deli, surprisingly enough, has pretty good fried as well as baked chicken. Their livers aren't bad either.   For home use, frozen the boxes of Banquet fried chicken are quite good.   None of this, however, begins to compare to the chickens my wife's grandmother used to kill and fry!
  6. Popeye's is better in my opinion.   The red beans & rice is really good.
  7. That readyman stuff looks neat! Here's one with AR15 cleaning tools.     http://readymanstore.com/readyman-ar-15-cleaning-card/
  8. Perhaps it's time to banish political and religious discussions from the board.   I can only speak for me, but no one here has changed my mind on either to any degree, and I seriously doubt I've gotten anywhere with changing anyone else's opinion either.   There's a lot of good people on this forum, but when I read a comments from a specific few on certain topics, I usually want to reach through the monitor and strangle them. :D
  9. My 99 Savages have safeties, but no visible hammer.   The half cock position on the hammer hsda been safety enough for over 100 years on a Winchester or Marlin lever rifle.   The fellow told you correctly on how to cock the hammer without making noise.   The best safety for a gun is the one between your ears.
  10. I bought a gun case on ebay last week. I see it left Memphis today headed for the black hole known as South Haven, Mississippi. :ugh: I've found that this isn't reassuring news. I'm glad it's a gun case and not a life saving device. :D   I never order anything I consider critical via mail, so I just sit back and enjoy the show.   LINKS2K, That's quite an impressive itinerary you have going on there. :dropjaw:
  11. Won't be a problem. I'd like to see 100 lever rifles in the classified; even if I was selling one as well.
  12. Do it yourself and you'll know it was done correctly.
  13. Yeah. The price went up when Remington bought Marlin and dropped Marlin quality. Putting a safety on a lever rifle didn't help either.   If you think a 357 is high, price one in 41 magnum!!! :shake:
  14. Well, Mariota certainly ain't no Jake Locker.   I thought they looked good yesterday.
  15. No, that would be the Second Amendment.   There is a lot of stuff going on in government that isn't legal or constitutional. It will get worse until someone does something about it.
  16. This guy knows a LOT of stuff!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^   I'm guessing Mac is correct.
  17. 7.62X42 perhaps?       https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.62x42mm#Cartridge   There's a 7.92x57 (8mm Mauser), and a 7.92x33 which was designed for submachine guns.   I'm not aware of, nor can I find any information on a 7.92x42.   Can you get a pic of the headstamp?
  18. Cleveland's stadium is right on the lake. It's a neat place to see. Take plenty of warm clothes!!!
  19. I didn't mean to disparage your rifle. I have both an1894 Marlin and a 92 Rossi. I wouldn't part with either. They are both fun, accurate guns. There is no doubt, however, that the quality and workmanship in the Marlin is superior to the Rossi.
  20. The difference is we didn't fly a crane into their mosque. These morons did it to themselves.
  21. You correctly predicted a close game. Probably the best one to watch yesterday.
  22. Marlin trumps Puma. I don't have any experience with the Henry rifle.   I'd have some patience and hold out for an older Marlin. Mine was cheap. I saw a guy walking around a gun show with it and asked if it was for sale. I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough when he priced it.
  23. I'll bet you dress in orange too!   We "good Christians" put a crane boom on the ground when not in use.
  24. Any Chevrolet I ever had, including the one I have now, shows low oil pressure at idle. The one I have now is an 01 Silverado with the same engine as yours. The oil pressure needle wiggles at idle, and jumps up and stays there when the throttle is pressed. It doesn't cause the check engine light to come one, however.
  25. Seeing a good chance of death or worse if I'm wrong, I guess I've taken the angle of assuming the worst in people.   I wish I could get back to where you are, and someday I might. It isn't likely to happen today.
