What type of purses are the ladies using?
gregintenn replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
http://www.galcogunleather.com/handbags-for-concealed-carry_8_149.html The Galco line of handbags, while pricey, are well worth it if she will be carrying daily. Top of the line stuff. -
Report: LASD’s new firearms put officers, public at risk
gregintenn replied to ou812's topic in Handguns
You don't have to be a gun nut to practice a handful of safety rules. -
Women versus men. Oh boy! Men and women have differing thought processes. Women tend to make decisions based on emotion, while men are more likely to make the same decision with a calculator. Women want to talk about problems while men want to either solve them or forget them. On average, men are larger and stronger than women. None of this makes one better than the other; I just want to point out they are, in fact, different. Having said that, we are also the same in a lot of ways. 10 fingers, 2 legs, 2 eyes, etc. I never have understood the idea of a "woman's gun", whether it be for hunting, target shooting, self protection, etc. My wife and I shoot and carry the same stuff. I always thought that if a 243 Win would make a good deer rifle for a woman, I ought to be able to use one to good effect as well.

My son and I each have one in 50 caliber muzzleloader and love them. I wouldn't hesitate to try one in a centerfire caliber.

One can easily make an AK full auto with a paper clip if he wanted to. This was actually quite disconcerting as my son was firing it at the time. He sure had a smile on his face after it was over, however.

The hunter safety course is free of charge! A more apt name for it would be firearm safety course, as it actually has very little to do with hunting. I understand where you're coming from Blake, but here, if it weren't for the efforts of the TWRA, we wouldn't have anything to hunt. When I was a kid, someone seeing a deer was rare enough it often got a mention in the local newspaper, and turkeys were non existent here. People had simply killed them out. Without regulation, this would no doubt happen again.

19 negligent discharges reported in one year? How many do you think went unreported? I know there's a bunch of LASD deputies, but at this rate, they probably shouldn't be allowed to carry a firearm. -
I got it from someone on here, but for the life of me, I can't recall who. Bought it in the Kroger's parking lot in Lebanon. It went full auto on me when the trigger pin walked out. A set of extra long pins fixed it, and it's been perfect since. It also came with a folding stock, original brake, bayonet, gas piston, and an assortment of other goodies.

I got a new pair of Leupold binoculars. I picked them our, so no surprise. You get what you want this way. I learned my lesson with the gigantic Poulan chainsaw I got for a birthday present a few years back.

I'd be looking for a rash of the cr@p in the coming year.

Hersh, I think I may have bought this from you?

Building an AK looks to be a much more in depth project than building an AR. I can only speak for me, but I'd have a hard time improving upon my lowly WASR. I've yet to see anyone shoot it without a smile on their face.

$69 is unbelievable! Somehow I missed that deal. -
http://palmettostatearmory.com/catalog/product/view/_ignore_category/1/id/15174/s/palmetto-state-armory-5-56-bolt-carrier-group/ I wouldn't expect them to get much cheaper, so I ordered one as a spare. Probably should have ordered more than one.

Mom wants to limit firearm discharges in Knox Co.
gregintenn replied to greenego's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
My neighbors often show up and shoot with me. Good neighbors are worth their weight in gold. To see my neighbors practicing safely with their firearms regularly makes me feel more safe; not less safe. To each his own I guess. -
Personal preference. I like walnut.
