1. Were there a shooting at our local school, I cannot fathom tearing the entire building down. It just doesn't make sense.   I don't consider myself a conspiracy theorist, and usually laugh at the Alex Jones crowd, but when something doesn't pass the smell test, I start looking for answers.
2. Well, the timing has been impeccable with news cycles. We don't need to know what Vladimir Putin is up to....hey! look over here!!!!!!   Ginning up support for gun control is just a side benefit if it happens.   Obama didn't wait but a few scant hours before he began his tirade of lies and propaganda. He has no friggin' class.
3. I wasn't implying that in the least, Gordon. From what I can gather from news reports, however, that is what dozens of people did at the scene. If a person knows another is about to kill them, you'd think they'd at least want to go out fighting.
4. The war on poverty hasn't gone very swimmingly either. The war on guns could get real interesting.   I still say we should just make killing people illegal. If a fella isn't going to obey one law, it's insane to believe he''ll obey the next one.
5. I can't imagine standing in line watching him shoot people in front of me without doing anything.
6. I'm no middle east authority by any stretch, but as long as Russia is bombing Syria, why don't we get out of the way and watch the show. I'm not sure who the good guys are there. I'm also not sure our government knows either.
7. At what point would you begin to believe this crap is staged?   Either way, it's tragic for sure.   My children are about to inherit one screwed up world.
8. I may give this old Winchester a chance..... ...but then again, I know the Savages work.
9. I'm thinking of the old style sidehammer muzzleloader, which I assume this is. The area where the flashhole meets the bore is nearly impossible to clean. I just can't imagine it packed with grease. I believe most of these rifles have a removable breech, but most I've seen are corroded together to the point it would be difficult to remove without damaging something.
10. Good deal on a fine little rifle.
11. Only hotel I've ridden a boat through!
12. So how would you go about cleaning the grease out afterward?
13. Did the one on White Bridge Rd. change as well?
14. The Parthenon is well worth seeing, as well as the State Museum and War Museum.   If you have any interest in guitars, Gruehn Guitar is a must visit.   Heck, just get out and walk around downtown and stop anywhere that looks interesting.   I personally love Joe's Crab Shack downtown. I know it's a chain restaurant, but man it's good. J. Alexander's is another pretty good place to eat.
15. I'd think the cleaning jag and patch would keep it lined up as it exits the barrel.   Wood ramrod? Aluminum? Fiberglass? They won't damage rifling.
16. Unless you are aware of a law I haven't seen, then, yes. You should be clear unless it can be proven that you knowingly sold it illegally. We are citizens; not private investigators.   Dirtshooter is like me. The buyer is much more likely to be from Kentucky than Alabama. :D
17. You: "Are you a Tennesse resident?" Him: "Yes." You: "Are you a convicted felon?" Him: "No." You: "Show me the money!"     You have no further legal obligation than this.
18. That doesn't seem good at all! :ugh:
19. Reminds me of that Kentucky Jelly stuff.......ain't good at all on a biscuit! :puke:
20. Sorry to hear about the pistol and the wife. Maybe it'll turn up just where she left it.
21.   http://www.laruetactical.com/lt-battle-mixer No picture yet, but here's a link.
22. Thanks guys. I got three from Larue Tactical. Instead of putting them in an envelope, they came in a large box crammed with catalogs, pocket constitutions, bumper stickers, and even a tactical paint mixer! :shake:   Shipping was more than the straps, but now I'm set.   Anyone need a battlefield paint mixer? :usa:
23. Hey! My kid's gotta eat. :D
24. How will you clean the grease out?   Sounds like a mess to me. I still say shoot it out and be done with it.
