1. Now that's a pretty good rant! :usa:
2. She set on a pump? What's the budget for this?
3. That's a nice buck, ruger! I had to shoot mine four times. :shake: I didn't know what' I'd done until I finally killed him. There were four nicely patterned 1/2" holes right behind his shoulder. He must have been the toughest deer on the farm.
4. It ain't much, but it's a deer. :) (6 pointer) This morning was the first fit weather for deer hunting since muzzleloader season opened in my opinion. The deer were stirring. Ruger, I told you you'd get that 8 pointer. Was it the same one you think?
5. We're here for you and stand with you David. Sorry to hear of your bad news, but still continue to pray.
6. Good job everybody!......well, everybody except rugerla1. :D :D  Just kidding. You'll get him soon.   Looks like the weather will be a little more favorable in the morning.
7. I'd estimate 200 lbs unless that guy is tiny. If it's real, it's amazing to me.
8. Photoshop? I didn't realize wolves got that large anywhere.
9. Unless you're a fan of yellow jackets, you might not want an apple tree that close to your house.   How 'bout a dogwood?
10. I doubt you'll get that bullet down the bore. If you slug it, you'll likely find the bore is somewhere between .451 and .453.   You can buy lubed lead muzzleloader bullets.   http://www.trackofthewolf.com/list/item.aspx/129/1 This place has a maxi and minie ball for 45 cal.
11. I stay inside.  A brick house is great at repelling wind.
12. I'd buy a set of rings made for mounting on a 3/8" dovetail. 22 rings they're commonly called. That takes care of the first one.   On the Savage, I'd use standard Weaver rings to mount the scope. Assuming you'd prefer to use the rings on the scope, I'd take the mount off the rifle and file the slot wider, so that the bar will fit in the slot. Always modify the least expensive part. A new set of Weaver scope mounts should be around $5 or so if you screw it up.
13. If he's shooting high, filing the front sight ain't gonna help. :ugh:   I thought 3/8" was standard. Your smith might have to make a sight. That, or shoot heavier bullets. How does it shoot with the rear sight elevator completely removed?
14. That's wonderful......until they become a teenager. Then you'll wanna send them back.
15. I always thought this round would be neat in a small lever rifle, or a light semi auto like an m1 carbine. Maybe even a tiny bolt rifle.
16. Cool. Does said customer also have a Rook Rifle chambered for this cartridge?
17. You took lemons and made lemonade. Congratulations!

Tourists

One of my kids were scared of the stuffed animals there when he was small. The other one didn't like the singing animal band. Neither have ever complained of a gun display anywhere.   Why any adult would fear an inanimate object is beyond my comprehension.
19. Good luck! If you find more than you want, let us in on the secret.
20. I went with two years and the free cap. Male pattern baldness helped with that decision.
21. Tennessee is a beautiful place. So is Georgia and South Carolina. You could spend a lot of hours wandering around Big South Fork in awe of it's natural beauty. Don't discount our state parks. We have some of the nicest in the nation.
22. Shot a coyote in the head first thing. I saw a couple of does up on a hill quite a distance away. The wind kept picking up steam, so I decided to come home. I don't like hunting in the wind.
23. That would be cool, but I'm not a brick/block layer, so it would be beyond my ability. I'd also like room for a salt box. If you've never eaten an "old ham", aka a ham salt cured and smoked at home, you don't have any idea what you're missing. Clifty Farm doesn't hold a candle to it. I'd like to put up a hog, and maybe smoke some deer meat as well.
24. Good luck tomorrow everybody!
25. I'm thinking about building one, and would like some ideas or suggestions. It seems to me that a small building with a cast iron stove in it would suffice. Let's hear your thoughts.
