  1. Sounds good guys! Thanks. I have a good mechanic nearby. I'll just let him handle it. I can earn the money to pay him doing something I know how to do better than tackling this myself.
  2. I'm leaning that way. Thanks for the encouragement.
  3. ....would you change it out yourself,  rebuild it, or take it to a mechanic?   It's an 02 Chevy Silverado Z71.   I'd probably come out ahead paying a mechanic to do it, but it doesn't look like that big a job. I'm not sure how I'll go about it. What do you think?
  4. Not me, brother! I spend money on good brakes and tires.
  5. ....and regulations are far less onerous. It's a multi faceted problem, and cheap labor definitely Is a part of it; but not all of it.     Union labor is the lion's share of the problem. I don't feel for these folks at all. Sorry.
  6. Probably the BEST of the supreme court justices. :wall:   Prayers and well wishes to his family.
  7. David, You are my kind of guy!
  8. That's a lesson that is a helluva lot easier to learn when you're 6 than after you reach adulthood.
  9. O.k. I don't get it. What's funny about this pic?
  10. Did they charge you tax on top of that?

    Barrel?

You won't know if you don't ask.
  12. My wife has one similar to the bottom model. She takes it to baseball games, and is very popular when she has it in the stands. :) My only gripe with it is that the pilot light will not stay lit in a strong wind. Other than that, it's awesome.
  13. Revenue loss will prevent it.

    Barrel?

The pinned barreled Smith and Wesson revolvers as stated above, are also threaded into the frame. The pin isn't of itsself what makes those revolvers desirable. It is an easy and fast way to determine the revolver is old enough to not have metal injection molded parts, it'll have recessed chambers, and overall just a higher quality and more attention to detail than later models.   When you read of a threaded barrel, it likely means the muzzle end has been threaded to accept a suppressor or other device.
  15.
  16. Ka ching!!! :bowrofl:
  17. In what way would this be an improvement over a standard belt holster, or a pancake style?
  18. Welcome to the forum. I am not seeing a picture if you posted one. We have several custom leatherworkers on this forum who might could accommodate you if you don't find something premade that interests you.
  19. You know, Robert Duvall in Joe Kidd may have helped get me into the 99 Savage business. ...and Eastwood may have talked me into a model 29 or two.
  20. That is a common theory being bandied about around these parts.
  21. I'd nearly as soon to be shot with it as to have to report it had been stolen from my holster while on my belt.
  22. That would make a pretty awesome emergency brake as well!
  23. I'd build the gallows.
  24. http://www.newschannel5.com/news/local-news/bradley-madden-accused-of-statutory-rape   http://ktla.com/2015/11/24/missing-kentucky-girl-found-dead-in-pond-was-raped-strangled-police-suspect-appears-in-court/   You likely remember the story of little Gabbi Doolin, who was raped, murdered, and thrown into a pond in Scottsville last year at a football game.   Well, it seems the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. His son made his presence known here in my hometown. Arrested on multiple charges of statutory rape.   This doesn't seem like the place where I grew up.
  25. I'm just explaining the southern way to do it. Sweet cornbread is a yankee abomination.
