  1. The folks I've met from here have been outstanding individuals as well.
  2. LEM is a well run company.
  3. That's what I figured. I think LEM has it. They'll also have bags as well. It is a good place to order meat processing supplies.
  4. Where does one purchase the Morton's Tender Quick curing salt? My local grocer doesn't have it.
  5. A lever rifle shouldn't have a sling. It should be held in the ready position, or at least carried with one hand around the receiver at the balance point. Quick snap shots are what the lever carbine is all about, and a sling would only be a hindrance.   The same applies to a scope. Receiver sights are o.k.   :D :D :D :D
  6. I went to Cabela's tonight, and worried the sales staff to death comparing their display of binoculars. After much looking, fondling, asking questions, etc., I finally decided on the Leupold 10x42 Cascades. I was surprised to find, and my wife delighted, that I liked them better than the higher priced Leupold Mojave binos.   I wish I could have been there about dusk so I could have compared them in low light, but I think these are what I want.   I even looked at some $2000+ Swarovski's, and they were awesome! Just not two grand better than the Leupolds.   I've decided the trick in picking out binoculars is to find what you consider to be the point of diminishing returns. The most expensive models are the best, but just barely as I see it.
  7. Absolutely. I don't see deer regularly during a clear night/full moon time period until mid morning. This past week, I've been leaving for the stand at about 8am. I'm seeing the deer from 9-12.   After a dark/cold night, you'll tend to see them earlier in the morning.
  8. I think the Vaqueros are beautiful revolvers.
  9. I saw some trail cam pics of Bigfoot last year. I believe they came out of Smith County.
  10. There's a good looking Colt 9mm 1911 in the classifieds here that's well worth the money and drive to Knoxville.
  11. Got a price range in mind?
  12. Not sure. I applied for my rebate online. I think everything I needed was on the receipt. https://at.rebatepromotions.com/ I filled out the required info here.
  13. WOW!!!!!!!!!! That's one helluva deer by anyone's standards. Congratulations. I'll bet you were some kind of excited.
  14. Is this an invitation? :D
  15. Sweet rifle. You probably won't find ammo for it a WalMart. I've loaded 22 Hornet, 218 Bee, and 32-20, but never this one. I assume you'd neck down 22 Hornet then fireform it?
  16. I'm hoping it wasn't hit well. It was a fairly long shot, although I was comfortable with it. I found a blood trail for a while, and could find no more. I brought my son and my dog to help with the search, but no dice. Maybe we'll get another crack at him. This really sucks. I don't like wounding one at all.   It was a fairly long shot, but I felt comfortable with it. He moved slowly, like he was hurt, I got a second shot off and heard him take about three more steps. I assumed he was down, but I was wrong. I was able to follow a blood trail for a while, but could no longer find it. My dog could trail him about as far as I could. It's like the earth swallowed him up or something.   I thought I would be able to see him leave the area after the second shot if he wasn't. I waited a long while before going to where he was. I'm at a loss.
  17. Same to ya, Doug!
  18. Man!!! :wall: :wall: I shot a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG one this morning, and I can't find it! :panic: :panic: :panic: :shake: :shake: :shake: :shake:
  19. The Smith is the better gun and should be worth more, but Winchester collectors are an odd lot, so it's hard to tell what the 94 would bring in years to come.
  20. I got a rebate gift card from them. It took about 3 weeks I think.
  21. If you haven't seen the movie "Lawless", you've really cheated yourself. If you had seen it, you wouldn't ask who Tom Hardy is. I'm betting this one is a winner as well.
  22. My thoughts exactly! Corporate taxes coupled with never ending regulatory oversight has crippled our manufacturing capabilities.
  23. Lebanon Locker is just east of the Lebanon square. Not a bad drive form Mt. Juliet.              http://lebanontnlocker.com/
  24. Thanks MacGyver. Your opinion holds great value to me.   Thank to everyone else as well. Keep em coming.
