  1. Yeah....you ain't gettin' all three.
  2. If we have a civil war in the name of gun control. I think I want to be on the side that has guns.
  3. Well heck! Laugh at me or something!   I'm getting a bit uneasy.
  4. A death in the family, house burns, or you find out your child has a terminal disease. Most everything else is simply a bump in the road.
  5. I stumbled across this place on the net, and decided to take a chance and order an upper from them. I ordered last night, and this morning, receive a shipping confirmation from them. So far so good.   Anybody buy from them? They have 15% off site wide and free shipping on orders over $200 right now.   http://androcorpind.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=80_102&product_id=107   I thought this seemed fair when you take off 15%, free shipping, and no tax.   I understand the QPQ finish is similar to nitride or melonite.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1VvhqoeJ_w I didn't know about his youtube videos, but last night he made his debut on Impossible Shots, a show on the Outdoor Network.   Good stuff!
  7. You'll get over the printing fear once you carry a while and see just how little other people notice you.   I look for conceal carry, and rarely see it except for very obvious examples. When I do see it, I immediately watch others to see if they appear to notice. NO ONE EVER DOES.
  8. This.......and don't be surprised if you can't fire a 32 ACP in there as well, but I didn't tell you that.
  9.   Honestly, it's a time issue with me as well. If my freezer is about empty, and I have a slack weekend ahead, I'll shoot whatever offers an opportunity because I know I'll have time to process it. When the freezer's full, or time is at a premium, I'm waiting on a trophy.   I know where you're coming from. I can't speak for everyone, and am only offering my thoughts.   A lot of trophy hunters I know give us all a bad name by doing immoral and illegal things in order to take that big one.   Any deer is a trophy to me. I've never killed a record book deer, and never expect to.   I find that as my kids are getting older and killing more deer, I'm spending more time watching and less shooting.
  10. I called my insurance agent about a month ago, ant told him I simply wasn't going to buy homeowner's insurance any longer due to the cost. He called back shortly with a policy from another company that has better coverage for less than half the cost.   You're correct. It pays to be proactive in these things.
  11. This wasn't directed at me, but I'll take a crack at it ayway. I spend a lot of money each year on licenses, and I don't intend to go home empty-handed. If it's legal, and I decide to shoot a deer, I can't see a problem with it.
  12. Quality management, and the fact that you're only allowed 2 bucks in an entire season are the driving forces.   A couple of decades back, we could only kill bucks, and several of them at that. This led to only immature bucks being seen, and if you didn't shoot one, you weren't getting a deer.   Attitudes have changed, and the deer population has exploded, leading us to take more does, and leaving the immature bucks to grow into trophies.   I can see a difference in the quality of bucks I see, and I like it.
  13. I doubt he saw anything wrong with what he said. I don't think people realize these folks actually believe this crap.
  14. What's weird about it? The nut usually doesn't fall far from the tree. You'd better start taking these folks seriously.
  15. Those tiny things can fly at about 800 feet per second!
  16. To shoot stuff with, You aren't a country boy I presume.
  17. How would you know if it were prevented?   We've all probably prevented a house fire or three in years past, but how do you quantify that?   How many pregnancies have you prevented?   Has gun control ever prevented a mass shooting?   This is what is called a false narrative.
  18. I have what you need if you can't find anyone closer.   'Til you get what you want, the side of a Sharpie pen works for burnishng.
  19. JSE sales and Bravo Company are two other great wishlist websites.
  20. I've never seen an AR that "looked good". http://www.turnbullmfg.com/gun/turnbull-tar-15-rifle/ About as close as I can get.
  21. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pkdci55adqk We saw Leroy Troy and the Tennessee Mafia Jug band tonight at Sutton's General Store in Granville.   It was quite an experience!
  22. Do you cook it in the casings, or stuff it in them after it's cooked?   If you cook in the bags, would you need to lower the temp and increase cooking time?   *EDIT* I made this recipe in a 20"x2.5" fibrous casing. 20 hours on a broiling pan filled with water got it to the proper temperature. It tastes really good! Thanks for sharing. I had no idea how summer sausage was made.    I just made one tube because it was trial and error. I'm going to make several the next go around with no changes.
  23. http://www.amazon.com/Waring-WPG100FR-Grinder-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B000S8TY24 I have one of these and have processed close to a dozen deer and some pork sausage with it. Works great.
  24. That's more of a switch than a button.
  25. Where can I get one of them there magic buttons?
