  1. I have an 02 Silverado. Last winter, one morning it wouldn't engage into four wheel drive. This is to mean the transfer case isn't turning the front drive shaft.   There are no warning lights on in the dash. I've replaced the transfer case shift motor, and the switch in the dash with the buttons to select 2wd, 4hi, 4low, etc. Same thing.   I've read about a transfer case control module. I have to buy another $150 part to see if that's it. I had no prior problems, leaks, noise, etc. in the transfer case   . Got any suggestions as to my next move? :wall:
  2. That's what I thought. Just back it out some more.   You can also purchase either a 30 caliber, or a 30-30 neck sizing die.
  3. The first time I shot a can of tannerite, I made the remark that this chit ain't gonna be legal long. I stand by that.
  4. Why can't you just back your 30-30 sizing die off until it only neck sizes?
  5. They're politicians....that's what they do.   I didn't think the "stop pointing that thing at me" bit was out of line, however....zip tie or no.
  6. I saw that on the news this morning. Another guy told him to put it up and quit waving it around before he hurt somebody. Quite comical.
  7. Take the gate down and put it back up?
  8. Chattanooga Choo Choo!
  9. I broke my garden last Saturday, which means it's about time to revive this thread! Grab your hoes and let's go. :no1:
  10. I'm almost finished with a can of 4064 that's about old as I am. If it' been stored properly, it'll be fine.
  11. Money isn't an issue in reloading for me. I can load higher quality ammo than I can buy, and can also tailor a load to a specific gun. I can also shoot obscure calibers I wouldn't be able to shoot if I didn't reload.
  12. Whatever a**hole dreamed up the 45 acp small primer case probably also designed the 45 GAP. Something unneeded that adds stress and confusion to our lives. Probably some government program for this. :wall:
  13. The side emblem didn't come along until a bit later. I'm not sure about the grips. THis is a bit of a different animal than the later hand ejector models we're used to seeing.
  14. I don't shoot competitively, but 5 grains of Bulseye and a 230 grain fmj is perfect.
  15. What makes you think it isn't an 1896 S&W? I believe it is.
  16. My youngest son had one. He outgrew it fast, but it ran like a top. I sold it for about what I gave for it new.   I'd suggest a bigger one the kid could grow into. There's no reason a little fella can't ride a full sized 4 wheeler. If I went this route, however, I'd buy a name brand one instead of a China knockoff.
  17. I moved one of mine. Jacked it up with a handyman jack and backed a utility trailer under it.
  18. I calculated materials and bought the lumber and hardware; not a kit. I don't know what to tell you about the kits.
  19. There should be some markings such as Smith and Wesson Springfield Mass, and various patent dates marked on the cylinder. I believe I can see something there in the pcis.       http://gunsoftheoldwest.com/2013/02/sws-32-hand-ejector/
  20. I'be built a couple of the portable Dutch barn looking sheds. There ain't much to it. It's the best why to get what you want in my opinion.
  21. LOL! Chit happens!!!
  22. Ain;t nothing better than a good woman, and there ain't nothing worse than a bad one. Here's hoping you snagged a good one!   I'm working on 21 years, and wouldn't take anything for one moment of it.
  23. ...and a reloading bench in the basement. :D   I hope you know you're welcome there, Mike.
  24. Practice breeds familiarity, which in turn breeds confidence.
