Can You Identify these Rifle Rds ?

I'll tap out and let someone else have a crack at it. You've some interesting stuff there; especially if you have rifles to fire them all. -

I recently paid $575 for one a bit nicer at a gun show. Of course, I turned down a healthy profit on it before I left the show. They're pricey. Check "completed auctions" on gunbroker for comparison. I spent better than 20 years looking for a nice one at a decent price. It's yours; do what you want, but I think it foolish to even consider selling it.

OOHH! That's cold.

http://www.big5sportinggoods.com/store/brand/_/N-1z13y71 HK by Benchmade for $19.99. My order showed free shipping too! I know these are Chinese, but I believe they are pretty good knives for $20 a pop. Might make good Christmas gifts too.

I picture a Colt Single Action Army under his truck seat, covered in sticky Mountain Dew residue, lint, and dust.

The tea party ans most of the second amendment crowd don't protest. They get up and go to a JOB every day.
-
Yes there would! Were there a group of angry nuns blocking the road in a threatening manner, I'd react the same way.
-
A single six convertible was my first handgun. Still got it!

His first gun is a beautiful custom Mauser action rifle in 257 Roberts his grandfather built for him. I'm just looking for a knock around gun. I have a few ideas. I figure you guys will come up with some interesting things I hadn't considered.

He's been shooting a model 29 Smith and Wesson longer than he's been in school. He's my kid. He's had a LOT of experience shooting guns. He's never shown much of an affinity for anything in particular, but has always enjoyed shooting whatever I drug out at the time.
-
Right. He's grown up shooting the classics. I'm not into newer firearms, so he's not had much experience with them. I just wanted to surprise him. It'll be a multipurpose gun, and will probably spend a lot of it's time under a truck seat. I'm looking for a working gun. He'll get the family heirlooms later.

I work in the road. I see what all passes for automobile drivers today. Trust me....the highway ain't the time or place to air your grievances.
-
Another reason to cut out government handouts. Without them, these folks would need to go to work like we do, and wouldn't have time for this garbage.
-
My older son turns 18 in a few months, and I think I'll buy him his first handgun for a present. I'm open to suggestions, so long as none of you insist on turning this into a Glock-a-thon. He'll not be getting one of those.
-
Precisely! In fact, that would make a great defense, assuming some of the agitators failed to move in time.

The last time a group of young black men lined up across the road in front of me, I was a teenager. Several of us were going to a motorcycle race somewhere up in Kentucky in my friend's mother's black Cadillac. We made a wrong turn, and drove down a seedy looking street, when they stepped out in front of us. He looked at me nervously, and asked "What do I do?" I told him if he wanted to get home tonight, he'd better mash the throttle. It worked well then. What would you have done?

These are "the good ole days" for cheap, accurate bolt action rifles.

I consider a group of people blocking a road for no apparent reason to be a threat to my safety and well being. I also consider a vehicle, when I'm driving one, to be my best form of self protection, and will act accordingly.

....or lawyers, guns, and money. I like to hand the phone to a small child if one is available when I get a call like this. It's comical.
-
Is a boat considered a vehicle in this instance?
-
I'm not saying you're wrong. I just tried to answer your question from the perspective of someone completely detached from law enforcement.
