  1. Yeah. You said it better than I did. I'd prefer it to be available at $5 per gallon than unavailable at $1. Yesterday, I saw a guy pulling a trailer with a lawnmower, pressure sprayer, and every gas can he could find at the pump filling it all with gas. He was convinced there'd be no more gas for the foreseeable future. This is the problem. Not a broken pipeline.
  2. I'd prefer gas prices rise to the level that would ensure availability rather than remain the same and not be available anywhere. Your mileage may vary.
  3. Just another filter or two....and more oil.....and that DEF crap on the newer ones.
  4. There will be chaos and assaults at Tennessee gas pumps this weekend. According to the article posted above, it appears this refinery has been down a week already, and everything seemed normal until yesterday, when the media began broadcasting "potential gas shortages". I did notice a pretty sharp spike in prices at some stores a few days ago, but no unusual activity until today.
  5. The panic is on. Drive by a gas station if you don't believe me.
  6. Maybe that'll be enough to keep liberals from relocating to here.
  7. Galco makes the best. Check out their website.
  8. Chew tobacco, wear overalls, and you'll fit right in.
  9. I rode a bike for years, and only ever found a couple of detection loops that wouldn't pick up a motorcycle. It does happen, but seems to be somewhat rare. I'm sure you guys know, it seems a lot don't however, that one has to remain INSIDE the detection loop in order to activate it. Most people assume six feet in front of it is somehow better.
  10. I didn't intend to blame it on facebook. Facebook only allows an idiot to be an idiot on a worldwide stage. I liken it to a magnifying glass.
  11. You put stickers all over your vehicle advertising it's full of guns, and then are surprised when it gets broken into? Sort of like posting on facebook you're leaving for a 10 day cruise, then returning to find your house has been robbed. I've never understood either.
  12. Welcome to Tennessee.........but if we EVER hear you utter the phrase "that's not how we did it in California", someone named Bubba will be along shortly to kick your azz back to whence it came.
  13. Perhaps I miss the point of your post, or perhaps you live in the wrong damn country.
  14. Yep. A bunch of old Marlin levers, and even a Bullard rifle. The first one I can remember ever seeing in person. Must have been a pawn shop or antique store that went out of business. They had a lot of antique metal signs, pottery, etc. as well. The metal signs brought ridiculous money, as did the silver dollars.
  15. I did once before. You'll know the pretty old brick house across the road from the nuclear plant on hwy 25. They auctioned it several years back. Among the contents, they simply listed rifle. I left there with a like new pre 64 Model 70 Winchester, target barrel, in 220 Swift, complete with original sling and 12x Weaver scope for a song. It doesn't happen often, however.
  16. I've never seen anything like this before. There wasn't many people at this local auction, and prices for guns and knives were at near giveaway levels, so, being a good TGO member, I tried to do my part. I scored an 1894 Marlin in 38-40, a Colt DA 38, A Colt Bisley in 45 Colt, a Remington New Navy Cartridge Conversion with perfect ivory grips, a Cattaraugus pocket knife, and a Winchester pocket knife. Not pictured is a 1917 Commercial Smith and Wesson my father confiscated from me. I guess a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while.
  17. http://www.ebay.com/itm/used-Spanish-cetme-FR8-mauser-od-nylon-adjustable-rifle-sling-w-tab-each-E7257-/121175823079 Cheap enough!
  18. I think it saw storage instead of battle.
  19. Well then, you're a great photographer, because in the photos, it looks unusually good for a military battle rifle.
  20. I always thought those were really cool, but never owned one. Yours looks to be in extremely good condition. Don't let it get away!
  21. Heck! We go to Hoover every summer. I never noticed it.
  22. Cool! Maybe it'll catch on down here.
  23. I only caught two stripe, and had something bite the tail off a plastic worm. I guess I'm gonna need to learn how to fish again. Dang, it's hot!!!
  24. Somehow, this seems fitting.
