There are several things there I'd like to see. Sort of like D.C. I'll not go see them, however. Year to date, there have been 2100 people shot in Chicago. That just isn't where I'd feel comfortable being. We once went to St. Louis. I really didn't feel comfortable there. You're right. I don't care for big cities.

If you find the exact rifle you want, purchase a complete rifle. If you're worried about future resale value, purchase a complete rifle. Otherwise, buy the parts you want and assemble them. You don't need a machine shop or an engineering degree to assemble an AR.

You're about to see some serious stuff go down in this country. No one has any respect for others, and what used to be a "your word against the police" case has been all but done away with since everyone has a phone with a camera on their person. As authority clamps down ever harder, folks are getting quite wary of government and authority in general. Between this and the shooting in Baton Rouge, law enforcement aren't doing themselves any favors.

We just canned 5 quarts of green beans. Not many, but the first of them. I think there'll be a bunch before they stop producing.

My old Chinese tool sale floor jack finally petered out, and I need a new one for the garage. I'm not a mechanic. I just need one for the occasional oil change, brake job, etc. I can go to Harbor Freight and pick up another one, and expect it to provide several more years of service. I was hoping someone here could recommend a good one, and a good place to get it for a reasonable price.

Riding a motorcycle is little more than riding a very heavy bicycle you don't have to pedal. I believe that subconsciously, people in cars see a smaller, lighter motorcycle and decide it's not a threat, and drive accordingly. You'll be amazed at just how many people will pull out in front of you, and even swerve into your lane while laughing. I love riding a bike, but decided I'd end up dead or maimed at some point. Once I have my living made, I may take it up again, but while I still have a family to support, I think I'll abstain.

Your advice was spot on! Thank you. I had to take the starter off before I could even see the linkage. With an assortment of wobble joints and extensions, I was able to get it loose. We'll not talk about getting it back together, but your suggestion of using swear words was taken to heart. A boat mechanic will be performing this task next time. Whoever designed that makes a man rethink his views on abortion!
