  1. It appears we no longer have the B.S. emoticon. This would have been a perfect place for it.
  2. Had the man been wearing a badge, the lady would have likely never blinked an eye.
  3. Someone occasionally does the on the smith and wesson forum, and there are always a few I've never seen anything like before. They're tough!
  4. I am a gun nut.....especially for old guns. I think I can pull something out of the safe that'll fire every one of those except the two belted magnums. These are fun exercises. Thanks for posting them.
  5. If your wife doesn't carry, I hope this will be a wake up call for her.
  6. No way to know that without looking at the headstamp. This drove me nuts. I'm glad you told us what it was.
  7. Naa.....I want to get them all.I just know #7 is a 38 special. One more guess.... #9) 30-40 Krag
  8. I give! Somebody help me out.
  9. Is #9 a 303 Savage? I recall you're a Savage guy. The pointed Silvertip bullet and a rimmed cartridge don't go together. Is it handloaded? #7) 32 H&R Magnum?
  10. 1) 32 ACP 2) 32 S&W Short 3) 32 S&W Long 4) 38 S&W 5) 380 ACP 6) 357 S&W Magnum 7) 38 S&W Special 8) 308 Win 9) 30 Win (30-30) 10) 30-06 Springfield 11) 300 Win Mag 12) 338 Win Mag
  11. Yeah....I had envisioned building near the road, and having a small pasture behind the house. My boss (wife) made the executive decision that the place to build was right in the middle of this lot, rendering it all pretty much useless, save for mowing. It does provide plenty of privacy.
  12. I mow about 6 acres. When we first built, I dressed, seeded, and fertilized our yard. It was beautiful and green. Mid December.....it was still beautiful and green! Since I don't enjoy mowing in the wintertime, I've not done anything else to it.
  13. That's my theory.
  14. I was going to post a pic or two until I saw gr8smiles collection......then I just put mine away. Those are some awesome pieces!
  15. http://androcorpind.com/index.php?route=common/home I once bought a very nice and accurate complete upper from this place. I can highly recommend them. Palmetto State Armory is hard to beat on price. Primary Arms sells good stuff also, as does Bravo Company. I've yet to buy anything I didn't like from Anderson arms either. I have noticed they don't offer chrome lined barrels, however.
  16. That's great! I thought from the picture he'd landed himself in court for some reason.
  17. The Optima is like a Wolf with a tie on. A fancier version if you will. They're nice!
  18. A muzzleloader will ship straight to your house.
  19. The CVA Wolf is the best value in all of deer hunting. I bought one on a lark at Wal Mart when they were $99. It's all I've hunted with since, and you can't imagine how surprised I was with it's accuracy, good trigger, and ease of cleaning. You'll probably want some rings and a scope. You'll also need a dogbone type capper, and some shotgun primers. I like the 777 pellets for ease of use with powder charges. You can buy them in tubes, or in a larger box. Get some tubes and keep them to carry these in your pocket. The powerbelt bullets work great for me. I shoot the 295 grain green tipped ones and 2 50 grain 777 pellets.. My son has one like it, and it prefers the platinum bullets, and 2 60 grain 777 pellets. What's really cool about these is you don't have to shoot them to unload them. Just pull the breechplug and push the powder pellets and bullet out the breech end of the barrel. No cleaning necessary. The muzzleloader season is typically the peak of the rut here, and my absolute favorite time of year to deer hunt.
  20. I know which direction I'd go if it ever became an issue.
  21. In my country, the directorate of defense trade controls doesn't have the authority to make law, (congress does), nor do they have the authority to interpret law (the judicial branch does), so this means nothing to me.
  22. A couple of years back, I caught an 870 pump on sale at Dicks. There was an additional 20% off the sale price, and a $50 mail in rebate, so I took it home for under $200. You won't always stumble across a deal like that, but it does happen from time to time. You can't beat an 870 for simplicity and reliability. They had 12s and 20s for the same price. My only regret is that I didn't get one of each.
  23. Not really. Mostly classic Winchesters, Smith and Wessons, Colts, etc. While there are some milsurps there, they aren't the majority of the show. There are new guns there as well as reloading items, ammo, knives, etc. There are usually a couple of tables relating to mlsurp stuff however. A little bit of everything with a small town atmosphere. I usually find a few good deals.
  24. AMEN!!!!!!
