  1. MSRP is $427. Ouch!
  2. I actually know a guy named Stumpy. Ironically enough, he has a side business of reloading ammunition and selling it to others. Now would you buy reloaded ammo from a guy named Stumpy?
  3. I like them thar o'l timey folding pocket knives! I wasn't aware anyone else here cared for them.
  4. I don't have a milling machine, nor the knowledge to use one, so an 80% lower seems like it would be a pain in the arse to me.
  5. Oh, I understand. It doesn't seem very economical to pay shipping, transfer fees, and a background check on a $50 hunk of aluminum. Maybe you could pick some up a a local gunshow then.
  6. You ever ask at your local gun store? Most have them, but rarely have them displayed. I guess because they'd be easy to put in one's pocket and walk out.
  7. As with most other things, wearing a badge makes you exempt I suppose.
  8. Ours used to do this. I've even seen the game warden auction guns there. If it happens anymore, I'm not aware of it.
  9. Exactly! Nobody ever comes to my house to ticket me for a running vehicle.
  10. I'm listening anytime you'd like to share. If not, that's o.k. as well. My personal experience has been that it is better to formulate and execute a plan to put myself in the position I want to be in, rather than wasting my energy and time worrying about what someone else has.
  11. Sounds like envy to me. If he were broke, how would that improve your life?
  12. Cranking an engine is about as hard on it as anything it goes through. Perhaps we could make stealing a car illegal.
  13. Now here's an honest answer.
  14. What steps? I'd be amazed if it weren't still chambered in 303 British. Clean the bore and chamber, get some ammo, and fire away. I've yet to shoot a 303. I think I'd like to.
  15. Assuming you meant to type "spend", I'd say it depends on the gun. Personally, I don't have a limit for the right one.
  16. The 357's bring more money. i'd say $500 would be a fair price. Those are cool little guns, and weren't made for very long.
  17. I can sympathize with you. We have a Black Lab, and he's a "dog of a lifetime". He's every bit as much a part of the family as the kids. He's beginning to show signs of advanced age. My sister in law had a Black Lab named Daisy, oddly enough, and it passed several years ago. She still tears up every time she sees ours. It's hard to describe how attached you can get to them. I've had many different breeds of dogs, but the Labs are special.
  18. If you're like most of us, you'll do something wrong on your first attempt. Don't be discouraged by this. The first one is a learning experience. Don't throw it away. Keep it around to compare your latest work with. This way, you'll see your progress.
  19. If a man decided to collect AR brands and variants, he'd sure need a lot of storage and a fat bank account! I want to see the Savage AR chambered in 22 Hi Power!
  20. They took my money, handed me the tags, and said "as long as you have insurance, you won't see any change".
  21. ...or mail ins? I need to renew tags on a vehicle this month. Do I have to take an insurance card with me to do so, or does the county clerk have some way of verifying it himself? I don't know about where you guys live, but the last thing we need here is something to make the county clerk's office less efficient.
  22. I see a push feed action, plastic stock, and three barrels. $5k would buy three really nice rifles. Sorry. I guess I am dead inside. They even sawed the foreend off the stock!
  23. I give.....what's so great about that?
  24. If it's slick and greasy, it'll work.
  25. Will these bee made in the U.S. by Colt, or by Umerex? I don't believe Colt can produce a revolver of the same quality the old snake guns had, at a price anyone would be willing to pay.
