I find this, combined with artificial intelligence, a much scarier scenario than little rocket man, emp charges, zombies, etc.

My comments apply only to the design of the rifle. The FN made model 70s, as well as the New Haven made pre 64s and Classics (not push feed post 64 models) are great. I have not seen the Portugal assembled rifles, but the reviews I've read speak well of them.

The Model 70 Winchester is, in my opinion, a superior rifle to the Remington 700.

Cooper and Kimber come to mind. http://cooperfirearms.com/our-rifles/our-rifles http://www.kimberamerica.com/rifles How about a new model 70 Winchester? http://www.winchesterguns.com/products/rifles/model-70/model-70-Current-Products/model-70-super-grade.html Savage American Classic? http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/14AMERICANCLASSIC They're still being made, but bring your wallet!

Technology is sure moving ahead at a rapid pace.

My wife made a pie from these last night. It's o.k., but I now believe I was thinking about a pie made from hickory nuts rather than walnuts. Oh well. Live and learn.

You need cash and a card. Some places won't take a card, and I've ran into a couple of situations where cash was not accepted.

I'm old school and have a pocket full of greenback. I know a lot of younger folks who almost never have a penny on them.

Looks like someone's rifle suffers from horizontal stringing.

My only Bisley has a picture of a pony on it.

Swift and public executions of those guilty of firearm related crimes would negate this type of thing better than bars and alarms.

Thanks! I see at least a couple I want.

Moving Back to Tennessee....Need Advice On Jackson, TN Area
gregintenn replied to Seabeejason's topic in General Chat
There's some really nice areas north of Jackson, but south of Jackson is getting too close to Memphis for my taste. Have you ever lived in a rural area? The good thing is that is far away from everything. The bad thing is that it is far away from anything. For the most part, any place in Tennessee, away from the larger cities is a good place to live. Oh yeah...welcome back! -
Google "biltong" and read a bit. It is an African method of curing meat outdoors. I'm not sure if it would work in our humid climate, but it is something I've always wanted to try.

How many pictures are we talking, Doug?

Had me fooled too!

Butch Jones and Derrick Mason both need to be ran out of Tennessee.

I'm just happy anytime I get to see U.T. lose.

Sam Stoner's Outback Forge in Scottsville, KY
gregintenn replied to Wilson002s's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I located Mt. Stoner's shop today, but sadly, he wasn't there. Can't call him or email him. I guess I'll just stop by when I'm in the area and maybe catch him there one day. -
Doug is a good guy.

The 5" model 29 is quite a rare bird!

Pattie's was neat. I'll also recommend Blue's Landing in Buchannan, TN. The guy who chefs there really takes pride in his work. Thanks for the suggestions. There was much to see and do there. We spent one day in LBL, one day in Union City (Dixie Gun Works) and Reelfoot Lake, and another day touring Ft. Donelson, and accompanying sights. There's a LOT of history in the old Dover Hotel alone. This left very little time for fishing. I will definitely go back and fish more next time. Might also take my ATV for the 100 miles of off road trails at LBL. This was the least commercialized and least crowded place I believe we've ever been. I loved it!

Wow! This is a tough time for you I'm sure. All I can say is that as hard as it will be for you to let go when the time comes, just imagine how heartbroken she'd be if you went first. Hang in there!

Not a golfer, but thanks for the other information!
