I located Mt. Stoner's shop today, but sadly, he wasn't there. Can't call him or email him. I guess I'll just stop by when I'm in the area and maybe catch him there one day.

Pattie's was neat. I'll also recommend Blue's Landing in Buchannan, TN. The guy who chefs there really takes pride in his work. Thanks for the suggestions. There was much to see and do there. We spent one day in LBL, one day in Union City (Dixie Gun Works) and Reelfoot Lake, and another day touring Ft. Donelson, and accompanying sights. There's a LOT of history in the old Dover Hotel alone. This left very little time for fishing. I will definitely go back and fish more next time. Might also take my ATV for the 100 miles of off road trails at LBL. This was the least commercialized and least crowded place I believe we've ever been. I loved it!

Wow! This is a tough time for you I'm sure. All I can say is that as hard as it will be for you to let go when the time comes, just imagine how heartbroken she'd be if you went first. Hang in there!

I still haven't decided whether to take my boat or leave it at home. It'll just be the wife and me, and the weather isn't looking real promising. We may spend enough time sight seeing to not even go out on the lake fishing. I'll still throw in a rod and tackle box either way.

I think those are English walnuts. They are much easier to shell.

I've decided this is a fool's errand. I've spent several hours breaking walnuts today, and I've recovered 2 cups of nuts.

I've never been there, and intend to go for a few days. What would you recommend seeing and doing while in the area. Will probably stay at Paris Landing. Any fishing tips? Good restaurants?

You load it on a baggage cart, roll it in the elevator, up to the room, unload it. Rinse and repeat. Employees would offer to help you, and no one gives it a second thought. You wouldn't believe some of the crap people take with them on vacation. Some people even live in hotel suites.

Could be. it doesn't look real useful/comfortable in any fashion I can fathom.

It seemed to me that assimilation of immigrants was a good thing. I'm cool with immigrants becoming American. I'm not cool with immigrants coming here and trying to turn America into their host third world country. Your mileage may vary. I am glad you called me on my prior incorrect statement. I seriously doubt they've thought that far ahead. Whoever is backing this is simply interested in causing unrest and division in my opinion, and has no plan beyond that.
