  1. God has treated me infinitely better than I've treated him. I wouldn't know where to begin on what I'm thankful for. I have everything I've ever hoped for and more. I need to begin doing more for others that aren't as fortunate.
  2. The gang banger's weapon of choice......the Kentucky Rifle!
  3. There are people who obey laws and people who do not. As far as I know, murder is already illegal. Any further gun laws will only affect law abiding folks. There's my reason for opposing it.
  4. ^^^^^^^This!^^^^^^
  5. I haven't forgotten ammo, but have climbed a tree with my treestand and then discover that I didn't have any caps for my muzzleloader.
  6. Do you know the barrel is tight? It would be worth a try to me. There have been revolvers with loose barrels before. It would explain why the front sight isn't in an upright position.
  7. Good luck! I think I'll sleep in after looking at the weather forecast.
  8. Haven't seen one that cheap in a long time. I'd jump on it if I wanted one.
  9. There's one on GOC for $550. I think that's about right.
  10. Will photo updates be required for those of us who opted for the lifetime hcp?
  11. Aside from plastic frames and hi cap magazines, we really haven't improved upon the Luger or the 1911 Colt in over 100 years.
  12. The best full size 9mm is the first one....Luger P08. I don't know about the best small 9mm. Smith and Wesson 940?
  13. Although they don't share the popularity of the old Winchesters, I've discovered that the old Marlins exhibited as good if not better quality.
  14. There was a BIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGG buck behind my house chasing does when I left for work this morning. For some reason, I was thinking muzzleloader season ended last Sunday evening, and bow season resumed from Monday morning until Friday evening. If I had known muzzleloader was still, open, I'd have been late for work. Now that I know, he 'd better not show his face again! I made pictures with my phone, but you can't tell anything about him in the pics.
  15. I'd suggest sighting in from a solid rest at known distances, then practice from possible field positions, including off hand, at a variety of distances and angles.
  16. Put the barrel in a vice with padded jaws and screw it in a bit tighter?
  17. That's the sort of members the ownership loves.
  18. That was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I do, however, long to see Derrick Mason's taililghts fading into the distance.
  20. As a Vandy fan, I hate to see ol' Butch leave.
  21. Great story. I can't wait to see pictures.
  22. This seems to be a somewhat religious event among deer hunters. I'll shoot a rifle every now and again, but not necessarily just before deer season. I don't know about your experiences, but mine always shoot exactly where they shot last year. Is this a problem I've just been lucky enough to somehow avoid?
  23. Glad to have ya here. Jump on in and tell us some stories.
  24. I've always noticed a big difference in size between Smith county deer and those in Sumner and Macon counties. Years ago there were very few deer here, and TWRA reintroduced them. I wonder if the Smith county deer came from a different place.
