  1. LOL! Not if the necks start splitting. Have you ever seen any brass for sale that wasn't listed as "once fired"?
  2. Are you certain they are "once fired"?
  3. I tried that on some ancient 303 Savage brass. I didn't do something right. They were still brittle.
  4. I've reloaded 30-30 all my life, and can't remember ever throwing out a case. You have: 1) a headspace problem 2) a brittle batch of brass or 3) A sizing die problem
  5. That's $700-$800 if you sell here. A pawn shop or gun store will offer you $300. Your call.
  6. I know the neighbors found out about it, and are NOT happy to say the least.
  7. Are we talking fine collectibles, or run of the mill Wal Mart specials here? Whadda ya got?
  8. Then ask for one in your for sale ad. Post quality pictures and an accurate description, and if it is priced fairly, some good member here will be along shortly to pick it up. I've met some really great folks here buying, selling, and trading.
  9. Buy a membership and post them in the guns for sale forum here. A pawn shop will rip you off. There is no paperwork required for a person to person sale within the state.
  10. I about let mine grow up because of all the rain. After yesterday afternoon and this morning, I have it fairly clean again. The scarecrow is working, because I've not seen one on the place since I put him out. I think I'll let the corn get big enough the crows won't pull it up, and put the scarecrow in the barn so they don't get used to him. When the corn is about to get ripe, I'll put him back out there.

    What are you working on?
  12. Shucks yeah! Nothing wrong with that at all.
  13. Sorry. I do not. It is held on Saturdays on highway 52 beside Sunshine Market. That is about all I know. Macounty County VFW has a Facebook page. You might also call Quinn Marlow at 615-388-7751.
  14. You talking about the turkey shoots they have on Saturday mornings?

It is high priced spray paint that devalues ome's gun? Don't do it; especially if you'd ever like to sell said gun.
  16. I'd strongly recommend one that rolls up, slides, or whatever, as opposed to the one piece fiberglass covers that raise up like a trunk lid. These are waterproof. They are also dustproof; as far as letting any get OUT of the bed. Also, whatever you want out of the bed ain't hard to find....it's in the middle, right up against the cab. I like a deep tool box. If I needed any more cover than that, I'd probably get an SUV.
  17. I wasn't trying to promote the site, just passing along information.
  18. I'm probably the last to know, but in case I'm not, it seems you can once again post photos stored there without paying their ransom.
  19. I have a copy of Roy Jinks' book. It dates most everything but I frames.
  20. Pretty good. The parking is screwed up. Where I'm used to parking is now fenced off, and they're building a new school there. Not much in the way of air conditioning in the building either, but quite a bit of interesting stuff; especially older stuff.
  21. Late 20's as far as I can tell. Serial number is 444xxx if anyone has a means to narrow it down further.
  22. It is the longer barrel precursor to the Smith and Wesson kit gun. An I frame 22 long rifle with a 6" barrel and adjustable sights. The earliest of these were commonly referred to as the Bekaert model, as a gun store owner in California suggested this model be produced. Later, the kit guns were produced. They were essentially the same gun, but with a 2 or 4" barrel instead of the 6". "Heavy frame" is a bit of a misnomer, as the I frame was a dainty little thing, but the largest 22 they produced at the time. It was beefier than the rarely seen M frame, also known as the "Lady Smith".
  23. Not sure why the pic looks weird, they fit fine in real life.
  24. Scarecrow made from PVC, bucket, gourd, and my old clothes.
  25. Scarecrow made from PVC, elbows, gourd, crochet head, and my old clothes. CHIDtt! wrong thread. Sorry
