  1. James Best....as in Roscoe P. Coltrane?
  2. When I took it several years back, you had to hit center mass of a man sized sillouette at 5, 7, and 15 yards. As I remember, you had to score 70 out of 100. I scored 100 and my wife 98. We aren’t good shots with a handgun.
  3. There's a store in Gallatin on the square called Blue Line Guns. I figured it was geared toward cops so I never went in it. Perhaps it's what you're looking for?
  4. Very interesting! I was aware of the Starr revolver, but never had an opportunity to peek into the bowels of one. Thanks for sharing. Do you think you could get a Colt Lightning revolver running again?
  5. Weathermen seem to be more accurate lately than news reporters.
  6. How about a 20 gauge for a do it all shotgun? Cheaper ammo than a 410, smaller than a 12 gauge, and will reliably kill turkeys.
  7. I appreciate your consideration in this matter, David. Even of you'd have decided against it, I appreciate your considering our requests.
  8. You stated my feelings perfectly, and much clearer than I am able to.
  9. It is your house, so your rules. I do appreciate you hosting a place where we can chat with other gun enthusiasts. I do miss hearing everyone's opinions here on political issues, as I have a lot of respect for most everyone here. I can't see why someone opposed to political discussion couldn't simply stay out of the subforum that contained it.
  10. If her husband can't trust her, why the hell should Nashville? Misusing public funds is illegal.
  11. Why is it the man always pays the price for this type behavior?
  12. My boys sure loved their Cricket rifles when they were small. Very accurate. Hopefully they will be able to pass them down one day.
  13. Great stuff!
  14. Solid investment.
  15. FYI....Primary Arms has a sale on Anderson lowers.....$29.99 each...limit 5.
  16. You can always take it apart and put it back together.
  17. The dealers I've seen that have lowers in stock usually have Andersons. Buying one already in stock saves on transfer fees, shipping, and wait times.
  18. Black anodizing is black anodizing. Anderson lowers match anything I've seen to my satisfaction.
  19. I understand. I've never owned a Hi Power, but would like one. The 39 will fit a 1911 holster like it was made for it. That's cool. I think I'd like a target pistol. Maybe a 22, like an old High Standard or 41 Smith and Wesson. I'd also consider a 9mm like a CZ75 or 210 Sig. There's a Savage 99 F in 308 for sale in Lewisburg. I'd buy it, but won't drive that far for it. I think cabin fever is setting in.
  20. I think so.
  21. I do have a nice one, and got it at a bargain. I's sure hate to part with it. They aren't as plentiful as they once were it seems. It's fun to shoot. I'd like a model 52 as a companion to it. They are simply amazing.
  22. I know what I want. Finding it is my problem.
  23. Mint with box and papers would bring $700 in my opinion.
  24. Good to have you back here Doug!
