Been gone for a while just got logged back in today
gregintenn replied to Jason in TN's topic in New Member Introductions
Welcome back. Show us what you got! -
Glad to see you back!

I have had a GSG 1911 22 for several years now, and shoot it a lot. I'm not a good pistol shot, but can ring an 8" plate at 50 yards just about every time. I like it.

KEYHOLING Questions (anyone have INFO) - my case Heritage Revolver
gregintenn replied to a topic in Handguns
Did you put the barrel in a vice to try and tighten it as discussed in the other thread. If so, perhaps you squeezed it too hard? -
We're glad to have you back!

Sounds like nothing.

It seems to be getting worse.

Our society is sorely lacking in good parents; not good teachers.

Scientific American-Why Are White Men Are Stockpiling Guns
gregintenn replied to aknifemaker's topic in General Chat
Jerry Adam Smith, the author, is an idiot! On the way home from work this evening, my wife calls and says a man evading police left his truck right in front of our house. I live in a very rural area, and the police were gone when I got home. Where's the guy? Who knows. Who wouldn't be glad to have a gun in case he decides he wants my truck to get away in? Nobody I know. Gregintenn......religious, not racist white guy. -
I have not seen liberal views from individual teachers. What I've seen is mixed in the curriculum they are required to teach. Global warming, homosexuality, and other vile ideas are mixed into math, science, social studies, etc. It pays to occasionally look through one's child's homework and deprogram these ideas from their little brains.

My employer is the state government. They would not allow me to protest while at work, nor should they. Same for school students.
-
Absolutely it is, but it isn't guaranteed to be without repercussions. I can't walk out of my job to go protest without being reprimanded or fired. Walking out of school to protest should come with punishment as well. To every thing there is a season. Protest on the weekends or at night.

Kroger to stop selling evil gun magazines
gregintenn replied to hammerdrop99's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If we don't shoot it, catch it, grow it, or pick it, it comes from Piggly Wiggly. -
I'm not sure how well that would be, but probably not. I'm certainly not computer savvy enough to figure out how to post a YouTube video. I'm not a good enough shot to own a Colt Gold Cup National Match pistol either, but I still enjoy shooting it.

Were you to buy a new Martin, which of these two would you prefer, and for what reason? I'd also welcome discussion of other models as well.

But just the high capacity magazines, right? -
my 58 Remington copy is among the most accurate handguns I own!

You haven't lived until you've squeezed a few rounds off in an antique Smith and Wesson or an 1873 Colt.

Nationwide school "walk out" for gun control laws
gregintenn replied to tercel89's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Since my favorite part of the second amendment is "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED", I am afraid I'll be of little help in this exercise. When I was a wee tot, there were sanitariums scattered about to house the mentally deranged. Today, they walk among us. Therein lies the real problem; not guns. -

I'm a cancer as well, but it appears that wasn't hard for you to figure out on your own. -

I am trending in that direction. I've noticed you aren't far behind me. -
Nationwide school "walk out" for gun control laws
gregintenn replied to tercel89's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Here's my discussion. It is ILLEGAL to take a firearm into a school. It is ILLEGAL to shoot people. If you believe one more law will stop this crap from happening, you aren't in the realm of sanity. Punishing ME for a crime committed by a brat in Florida won't help. I do not shoot people. As long as I am right and you are wrong, I see no reason for me to compromise. -

So now we are going to let teenagers make policy decisions for our country? The world has surely gone insane. -

Let's say I don't think you need your car. I want to take it. You don't owe me a discussion about it. If I try to take it, I should expect serious repercussions. That is where I am right now on the gun debate. -

My son said they were offered an opportunity to attend a meeting, or whatever you'd call it, regarding the protests today. If you attended this meeting, you were required to write an essay about it. He said there weren't many takers.
