  1. Even at that.....Chicken flavored ham?
  2. Just WTF has happened to us??!!??!
  3. If I give a grand for a used pistol, I'll need to look it over first.
  4. I think the Eagles, Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, and most certainly The Beatles did much more to advance rock and roll than The Rolling Stones.
  5. They were good, there's no denying that, but The Rolling Stones is always mentioned in a discussion of the best band ever. I think they are the most overrated band ever.
  6. I love me some Stevie Nicks. She has an awesome voice, and an almost eerie presence no one else has.
  7. I always liked this one. It's almost like a British version of country music.
  8. I forgot the best band ever.....The Eagles!!!!
  9. Allman Brothers Led Zeppelin Lynyrd Skynyrd Molly Hachet Marshall Tucker Band This is subject to change tomorrow.
  10. Aretha's vocals paired with Duane Allman's guitar genius. It just doesn't get much better.
  11. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossroads_(1986_film) It was also covered in the movie "Crossroads". If you like guitar playing, this is a great movie.
  12. That looks like a model 1920 Savage, but I can't see it well enough to tell for sure. Oh yeah....she's got a good sized buck on her shoulder. Impressive!
  13. What do it do? Keep your bolt from falling out? I find a lower receiver does the same thing.
  14. ...even though you probably won't be dropping by here to pick up any more 4 wheelers.
  15. Glad to hear from ya. You are still welcome to hang around here even though your geographic area has changed.
  16. I think I'd rather take a chance on being shot rather than wear a thick vest every day in the summer. I doubt it is optional for you guys though.
  17. Congratulations! I bought a CZ75B Omega form another forum member this past weekend, and we've really enjoyed shooting it. It looks to me like CZ has a very solid design in these pistols.
  18. https://www.customdefensellc.com/gunsmithing.htm Ask Sam. He either does it, or more likely sends it somewhere to be done. My father was a tool and die maker before he retired. He'd just put gun parts in with whatever the shop was sending out to get black oxided. I'm not sure where they sent it. If you have a buddy who is a tool and die maker for a small shop, he might be able to do the same. All prep work should be done in advance, however, as they just put the finish on.
  19. Yeah...the mayor is a big part of Chicago's problem. This has nothing to do with his race.
  20. Imagine you are a police officer. Given the stats you just quoted, you'd be foolish to not look at a young, black man with a bit more scrutiny than other folks. To fight crime, one has to go where the crime is and look for those who are committing the crimes. Thankfully, there isn't much crime where I live.
  21. I can give an honest answer, but I fear I'll sink lower into the moderators' ire. What the hell. It needs to be said. As a culture, inner city blacks often breed like alley cats, resulting in a high percentage of children having no idea who their father is; let alone being able to learn from and being disciplined by them. Further, they are not taught a work ethic, and selling drugs paired with government assistance is an easy, labor free way to continue this lifestyle through the generations. That being said, this problem is NOT unique to black folks, but it looks to me like percentage wise, black people fall into this category more often than other races. Call me a racist or ban me from the forum, but please, show me the respect of disproving what i've said above first.
  22. Thanks for the ljnk. Looks like I wasn't too far off.
  23. I agree with the gun part, and will probably get dinged for saying it, but I'd love to see the percentages of these shootings broken down by race. I'd bet better than 90% of them are committed by a single race, and that race isn't near the majority in this country.
  24. The wife and I went to Sam Ash Music last night looking for my younger son a birthday present. I got to play a Martin D28, and was not at all impressed with it's sound. They didn't have a D18 in stock. I don't know if this particular guitar is a dud, or their quality isn't where is once was, but to my ear, my $300 Takemine sounds much better. Anyway, while searching for the birthday present, I played a Taylor Big Baby. https://www.samash.com/taylor-big-baby-taylor-acoustic-guitar-tbigbabym Now I have his present. I didn't play all the guitars in the store, but the sound of this one was much better than any other I tried. It's thin neck and low action also made it very easy to play. I think he will be happy with it. If not, I'll let him pick one out and keep it for myself. I can't believe how much sound comes out of this little fella!
  25. It used to be bigger but I wore it down?
