We dropped the bike off at Sloan's this morning. Everyone was nice and seemed competent. It was busy there. They said it would be about 10 days until they could get to it. They also had an Indian Scout on sale that had my name written all over it. Now if I could only could convince Mrs. Tenn.

I'm sure a percentage gets pocketed. You can also bet whoever made the deal with people who bring the crap to sell gets a pretty good kickback as well. Our local government does a piss poor job spending and accounting for the tax revenue collected. I'm not about to go help them raise more. The other stuff, such as sports, etc., does need funding, and I am more than happy to help there. I do not think tax money should be spent in a sports program.

I'm not selling squat for the school in general, but I am more than happy to donate, work, or whatever is needed for extracurricular activities such as sports. We had one coach who wouldn't accept a donation. He insisted we participate in a roadblock. I will not allow my family to stand in the road and beg for money. His wife got ran over in the road block and suffered a broken leg. Roadblocks are a bad idea.

That's what I've been doing. I'll ask the baseball coach how much he expects to take in per player and write a check.

My son recently bought a Suzuki GS500. It ran great when he bought it, but now wants to idle really fast once the engine warms up to operating temp. I've read a lot about this problem on various internet forums, and have tried multiple fixes to no avail. If there isn't anyone here who works on bikes, perhaps someone could recommend an honest mechanic who could make this bike idle correctly again?
