  1. He's been worth it!
  2. This is what I like to refer to as a buying opportunity. Stock up! It will not stay this way.
  3. Honestly, I'd rather use my muzzleloader.
  4. I remember a little further back, seeing m1 carbines piled up on gun show tables for $150, take your pick. I don't remember what the Garands and 1911s were going for, but not much more. SKSs were $49. I also don't remember how much more the AKs were, but not much. I still have a few of these milsurps, and a while back, dug out a case of Norinco 762x39 ammo I paid $100 for. That stuff shoots great!
  5. I'd much rather have that old model 10 than a new GP100.
  6. If it's tight, $200 is a very good price. I would buy it. There is nothing wrong with those grips. If you replace them, don't throw them out. They'll bring several dollars. Until you actually shoot it, you'd call me a liar if I told you how well an old M&P shoots.
  7. I've yet to see my wisdom teeth.
  8. Looks like a nice one.
  9. I expect you already know, but that is quite a desirable little kit gun. 2 or 4 inch barrel?
  10. Thank you for taking the time to post this. I had a vague idea how it was done, but your post clears it up. Very interesting.
  11. Now that is quite unusual.
  12. May God bless you and your family.

  14. What a friggin huge coincidence!!! He been hanging out with judge Kavanaugh?
  15. I doubt it has a serial number. I'd call it a home made handgun and roll with it. Stevens also made pistols. I don't know how one would go about proving what it once was. Don't destroy it. It looks great. I'd interested in hearing more about you color case hardening setup if you would indulge us sometime. I'd bet I'm not alone in that.
  16. Sorry to hear this. We have a lab who is starting to show some age. I sure dread that day. He's as much a part of the family as the kids.
  17. Welcome to TGO. I'm betting you work at Dixie Gun Works?
  18. Welcome to TGO. A guy who shoots a 250 Savage can't be all bad.
  19. When I married, I made a lifetime vow, and I intend to keep it. A couple of weeks ago, I would have brought home a new Indian motorcycle, but she had a fit. I had no idea previously she felt the s way about bikes, but whatever. I'm certain she's given up a lot t for me. I She isn't opposed to a boat, but isn't excited about one either. I decided against that. Tomorrow I intend to go to an auction where ther is a cherry 68 Mistang. She likes it. I sort of do, but it's a 6cyl car. If it goes cheap enough, I can put a 302 in it. Marriage is give and take. I can say I wouldn't have a small percentage of what I have today were it now t for her. Damn that Indian was a sharp bike though!!!
  20. Now you sound like my wife.
  21. No. I guess I'll just stick with this one for the time being. I don't get to go much, and it does everything I need a boat to do.
  22. Fraid so.
  23. LOL! One didn't get cooked. My wife was complaining this evening about something stinking in the basement. After a bit of investigating, I found one of them tucked safely in the corner of the livewell in the boat. WOW!
  24. Wow! Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what that must be like for a parent. Kahr Man, I'm saddened to hear of your loss. Hang in there.
  25. As I understand it, our local small town and county LEOs don't get paid very well. Some manage to steal a pretty good living, however.
