  1. No. That's an entirely different issue.
  2. When you live out in the sticks like me, a trip to town eats gas and time. I'd rather be able to do it myself.
  3. 7 dollars? Wow! I was thinking $200.
  4. I am in the market for one and know nothing about them. I'd like to learn from you guys what you like and dislike about yours. What to avoid. Thanks in advance.
  5. I don't understand the outrage. If my local sheriff asked me to cut up some guns for him, and the price was right, I'd fire up the torch. Don't buy anything from me either I guess.
  6. You are correct, and that information doesn't seem to be readily available. I have used it for years and have yet to figure out how they m ake money on me.
  7. https://thefinancebuff.com/free-file-fillable-forms-not-directly-with-irs.html You do have a point I hadn't given much thought to.
  8. Savage abandoned pretty years ago, but I've yet to own a Savage rifle that wasn't amazingly accurate. I'm betting this one will be as well.
  9. Remembering to charge it and have it with me will be my downfall with this product.
  10. So.....just send your money and take your chances?
  11. Yeah. I wasn't counting the additional forms. I've always filled them out. The new 1040 looks to me like the old 1040 EZ, except everyone can use it. It sure seemed simpler to me. I'm telling you, freefilefillableforms.com is the way to go. Just fill in the blanks and click "submit". Free for everyone.
  12. What the heck! I gave it a shot. Thanks for the heads up.
  13. Got an email Monday..
  14. Filled ours out today. We made $11k more than last year and paid $700 less in taxes. I can see how some folks got a tax break like we did, and others would have seen an increase. There is only one form this year: 1040. No EZ or A. It is also only one page. Much easier to fill out than in years past. I still owe them $200. That is as close as I've ever been able to get to 0.
  15. Not sure what action I would have taken had he pointed a gun at me, but if my wife was also involved as the story indicated, someone would have left on a stretcher.
  16. That'll make a nice one if you do your part. I bought a pepper box kit there and put it together when I was a kid. It looks better than yours, but not by much.
  17. Were they the same price and I wasn't already so familiar with the one, I'd likely buy the 2. They do have better sights and a better trigger, but not $100 better in my opinion. Many would disagree, however. I feel the original LCP is as close to a perfect pocket pistol as I've found.
  18. You are probably right. That was many years ago. I expect this cat has since endured some disfiguring tragedy. I do not remember who he was, and seriously doubt he's still teaching.
  19. I just wanted to get my HCP. It was that or pick a fight with the only guy in the room with a loaded gun and my money.
  20. While sitting in the classroom portion, I got several good looks down the barrel of the instructor's loaded, cocked, and locked 1911. Why the S.O.B. found it prudent to unholster and wave his gun around while talking eluded me. Probably the same reason he was married to the woman helping him who was more than old enough to be his mother. Quite an operator indeed.
  21. If the idiot who taught the class I attended was certified, there can't be much to it.
  22. Your fingers are the problem. The press does it's job just fine. I wouldn't dare attempt to load 25 ACP. There's nothing to hold onto. I guess one could do it with tweezers.
  23. I reload 380s. They are almost small enough to be a pain in the rear, but it is something to do on a rainy day.
  24. I own several sizes and configurations of the venerable 1911. Same for the Smith and Wesson hand ejector revolver.
  25. I only have an original LCP. I have no idea how many rounds have been through it, but I shoot it more than any other firearm I own. I've carried and shot it for years, and it has been 100% reliable. I suppose it will probably need new springs at some point, but I haven't detected any undue wear so far. I paid $300 for it, and if it became inoperable today, I can replace it for $200. I feel it has already provided more than $300 worth of service.
