I miss him being around. He was a nice and helpful guy, and a wealth of firearms knowledge. I want to think he'd had some health problems in the past. I hope he's doing well and just retired or moved on to other interests.

I sure hope he'll take a check. I wouldn't want to walk around with a briefcase full of money. Anybody ever been to an auction like this? I can't find much information. I wonder if they'll want to to somehow get prequalified or something to ensure you can write a check. I also wonder if there will be a day ahead of time one can inspect the cars. Further, I wonder if there will be a buyer's premium. Hopefully, they will have more info on their website closer to time.

The signs say "No Reserve" and "Absolute". There should be a LOT of money change hands there that day.

I find the brand name to almost always be the better investment.

I went out to buy a shotgun and came home with this!

Odd looking shotgun. -
A background check is usually instant. Legally, I think he could purchase a gun as soon as his record has been expunged, but as you know, this is the government you are dealing with. I wouldn't have a clue what problems you could expect or how to get them corrected. Hopefully there won't be any. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a lot more insight and experience with this type thing. Welcome to the forum! Don't be a stranger.

I don't believe I've seen it. I'll try and correct that sometime.

How'd you feel about "Enemy at the Gates"?

That is what you find unrealistic about Star Wars?

Solid Workbench Reccomendations

My father made drawers and cabinets underneath his workbench like you'd have in your kitchen. That would be nice, but being retired, he has more spare time on his hands than I do. -
Farm Card aka Agriculture and Use Tax exemption
gregintenn replied to JimFromTN's topic in General Chat
I think you just need the tax ID number. I am not aware of anyone being audited on the basis of showing a profit, although the requirement is technically law. Sell a few liogs off the property or charge someone a modest fee to cut hay from it. I can't remember off the top of my head whether it's once every three or five years you are supposed to show a profit. -

Draw it on paper first. You'll do fine. -
One extra mag/speed strip.

I bought some nails, 2x4, and 2x6 lumber and built my own. You could set a V8 engine on it. Saw 'em off and nail 'em together. It ain't that hard. Actually, you'll want to screw together the part that holds your vice and reloading press. -
Supper tonight made me think to tell those of you who might not know. Dollar Tree stores have a freezer section. In those freezers, you can find thin cut rib eye steaks for $1 each. Put a little Dale's sauce on them and grill. They fit perfectly on a hogie bun, and are tender and delicious. I like these with home made potato chips. They are a great deal and an easy meal.

Thanks. I should have looked closer. The other plug is round. Another question. If this thing will start a car, why can't we buy car batteries this small and light?
-
Alright, this little thing is cute if it'll work. Which port does one use to charge a phone? I assume the 12 volt? The instructions aren't much. They appear to be written by an 8 year old Chinese kid.

Now I see where you are going with this. I am not a legal scholar, but I believe it is common practice for law enforcement to confiscate items used in the commission of a crime. I know they destroy confiscated drugs. I think my local sheriff auctions confiscated vehicles. I'm not sure where the confiscated money goes, but have an idea. They used to auction guns, but don't do that anymore that I am aware of.
-
How do you feel about crushing cars? I agree that it would be a more prudent use of taxpayer funds to sell the confiscated guns at auction, but there is no virtue in a firearm.

Who has a diagnostic code reader for vehicles?

Thanks again for the advice. Since i'm not real tech savvy, and this one has good reviews, I decided to give it a try. https://www.amazon.com/Autel-Diagnostic-MaxiLink-ML529-Enhanced/dp/B07MNJ7MTL/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=1OQQMP7TBFH5W&keywords=automobile+code+reader+scanner+diagnostic+scan+tool&qid=1551279929&s=gateway&sprefix=automobile+code%2Caps%2C424&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1 -
No. That's an entirely different issue.
