  1. Supper tonight made me think to tell those of you who might not know. Dollar Tree stores have a freezer section. In those freezers, you can find thin cut rib eye steaks for $1 each. Put a little Dale's sauce on them and grill. They fit perfectly on a hogie bun, and are tender and delicious. I like these with home made potato chips. They are a great deal and an easy meal.
  2. Thanks. I should have looked closer. The other plug is round. Another question. If this thing will start a car, why can't we buy car batteries this small and light?
  3. Alright, this little thing is cute if it'll work. Which port does one use to charge a phone? I assume the 12 volt? The instructions aren't much. They appear to be written by an 8 year old Chinese kid.
  4. Now I see where you are going with this. I am not a legal scholar, but I believe it is common practice for law enforcement to confiscate items used in the commission of a crime. I know they destroy confiscated drugs. I think my local sheriff auctions confiscated vehicles. I'm not sure where the confiscated money goes, but have an idea. They used to auction guns, but don't do that anymore that I am aware of.
  5. How do you feel about crushing cars? I agree that it would be a more prudent use of taxpayer funds to sell the confiscated guns at auction, but there is no virtue in a firearm.
  6. Thanks again for the advice. Since i'm not real tech savvy, and this one has good reviews, I decided to give it a try. https://www.amazon.com/Autel-Diagnostic-MaxiLink-ML529-Enhanced/dp/B07MNJ7MTL/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=1OQQMP7TBFH5W&keywords=automobile+code+reader+scanner+diagnostic+scan+tool&qid=1551279929&s=gateway&sprefix=automobile+code%2Caps%2C424&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1
  7. No. That's an entirely different issue.
  8. When you live out in the sticks like me, a trip to town eats gas and time. I'd rather be able to do it myself.
  9. 7 dollars? Wow! I was thinking $200.
  10. I am in the market for one and know nothing about them. I'd like to learn from you guys what you like and dislike about yours. What to avoid. Thanks in advance.
  11. I don't understand the outrage. If my local sheriff asked me to cut up some guns for him, and the price was right, I'd fire up the torch. Don't buy anything from me either I guess.
  12. You are correct, and that information doesn't seem to be readily available. I have used it for years and have yet to figure out how they m ake money on me.
  13. https://thefinancebuff.com/free-file-fillable-forms-not-directly-with-irs.html You do have a point I hadn't given much thought to.
  14. Savage abandoned pretty years ago, but I've yet to own a Savage rifle that wasn't amazingly accurate. I'm betting this one will be as well.
  15. Remembering to charge it and have it with me will be my downfall with this product.
  16. So.....just send your money and take your chances?
  17. Yeah. I wasn't counting the additional forms. I've always filled them out. The new 1040 looks to me like the old 1040 EZ, except everyone can use it. It sure seemed simpler to me. I'm telling you, freefilefillableforms.com is the way to go. Just fill in the blanks and click "submit". Free for everyone.
  18. What the heck! I gave it a shot. Thanks for the heads up.
  19. Got an email Monday..
  20. Filled ours out today. We made $11k more than last year and paid $700 less in taxes. I can see how some folks got a tax break like we did, and others would have seen an increase. There is only one form this year: 1040. No EZ or A. It is also only one page. Much easier to fill out than in years past. I still owe them $200. That is as close as I've ever been able to get to 0.
  21. Not sure what action I would have taken had he pointed a gun at me, but if my wife was also involved as the story indicated, someone would have left on a stretcher.
  22. That'll make a nice one if you do your part. I bought a pepper box kit there and put it together when I was a kid. It looks better than yours, but not by much.
  23. Were they the same price and I wasn't already so familiar with the one, I'd likely buy the 2. They do have better sights and a better trigger, but not $100 better in my opinion. Many would disagree, however. I feel the original LCP is as close to a perfect pocket pistol as I've found.
  24. You are probably right. That was many years ago. I expect this cat has since endured some disfiguring tragedy. I do not remember who he was, and seriously doubt he's still teaching.
  25. I just wanted to get my HCP. It was that or pick a fight with the only guy in the room with a loaded gun and my money.
